The only reason why the US puts up with Turkey is because of the military base.  If only they would accept the Armenian Genocide then I could prove that Incirlik is my land.  I have all the original deeds to these lands which my grandparents smuggled out when they escaped during the genocide!!

Obama Nation: CEO as President

I started as a Hillary Clinton supporter and switched to Barack Obama in January after my Republican husband suggested that I take a look at him. By chance, I received an e-mail from a friend to an Obama rally at the Apollo Theater and decided this would be a good chance to hear the candidate’s message in person.

Anyone who has ever attended a political rally knows it is always slightly disorganized or what I call organized chaos — especially when you have over 3,000 people waiting in line. At the Apollo rally, I was impressed by the organization and diversity of Obama’s supporters that came to Harlem’s legendary theater, which is two blocks away from Bill Clinton’s office. The line snaked around two corners and the volunteers managed to effortlessly get everyone into the theater on time without confusion. Efficiency seemed to be their key motto.

“You have a chance to be on the right side of history…I believe change happens from the bottom up. I can’t do this alone — I need you,” were some of the things Obama said that evening. It wasn’t his inspiring speech that impressed me, it was his message of open government. The very notion that the potential leader of the free world wants each and every citizen to actively contribute ideas and hard work to strengthen America is refreshing.

Obama runs his campaign as if he was the CEO of world-class company called the United States of America. His mission statement is the United States Constitution and like any great leader he has consistently build his campaign or what you may call a “franchise” piece by piece. He has given his “voters” (workers) ownership in building the franchise. Beginning with my first interaction with him at the Apollo Theater, I began receiving e-mails updating me on his campaign. In many of his messages, his staff sets fundraising and campaigning goals inviting you to participate in building Obama Nation. The most compelling aspect of Obama’s campaign is the dialogue he has with each individual voter.  He has invited voters to take ownership of his presidential campaign in a very entrepreneurial manner that taps into my generation’s love of innovation and creativity in supporting small enterprises (think Craigslist, Youtube, MySpace) that effortlessly became major players of new media.

I belong to the first generation of Americans who have integrated the Internet into their daily lives. E-mails, text messages, Blackberries and other forms of new media are as natural to us as the newspapers, television and radio were to previous generations. The only difference is the Internet is a very personal and low cost form of reaching a massive number of people. It is also an unfiltered and direct form of communicating with family, friends, business partners and constituents. Hillary Clinton’s campaign advisors seemed baffled when some of their normal efforts to spin a news story weren’t working.  It took a while for them to figure out that the people Obama’s campaign were reaching was not using traditional forms of media as their primary source of information. In essence, Obama’s campaign staff can quickly e-blast his positions to one million people — a larger circulation than some newspapers  — instantaneously. This has allowed Obama to set the agenda and tempo of the current election campaign. It has also allowed him to manage and organize the rallies that draw 5,000 to 20,000 people. Obama has created a new paradigm and playbook in American politics.

Like a good CEO, Obama has used smart and creative fundraising techniques that have motivated his supporters and generated more than $85 million for his campaign. His donor base represents votes and a vast network of volunteers around the nation. He has spent his campaign windfall smartly. Obama is a good manager who has brought millions of Americans into the political process. One indication of his campaign’s openness is the use of Black Eyed Peas’ “Yes We Can” video. Inspired by the speech Obama made after winning Iowa, the group’s leader made a celebrity driven video supporting his candidacy and Obama’s campaign accepted this free gift and posted it to his campaign site on Super Tuesday. To date, the “Yes We Can” video has over 5.3 million hits on the Youtube site alone. It is this type of ingenuity that has energized what would have been a predictable presidential race into one of the most exciting campaigns in history.

Any CEO knows that a good manager is smart enough to hire experienced people to run his company. In the case of Obama, I have confidence that he will carefully chose his cabinet members and staff — they will reflect the multiracial and generational professionals who are at the heart of his campaign. I also believe that he will keep his promise to engage his workers — the voters — in the decision making process in a new and exciting dialogue that will transform our national life.

Despite Hillary Clinton’s experience I am disappointed in her campaign. Until recently, there was no consistency in her campaign message. Beyond her selling point of experience — her message was all over the place. My husband and I joked about the change in her campaign signs. At first her signs were “Hillary for President”, then “Solutions for message”, “Smart Choices”, and “Strengthening America.” At one point, she even described herself as being an agent of change.

In fact, Hillary Clinton was a change agent for her generation. Imagine the irony, Hillary and Bill Clinton belong to the baby boom generation that brought the greatest change to the country through the civil rights movement but now the ultimate hippies have become the establishment. Mark Penn, a key campaign strategist, did not help her campaign by introducing the concept that Barack Obama could only win “insignificant” states compared to Hillary’s significant wins in California, New York and New Jersey. Politics 101 dictates that every voter is significant especially when the candidate is losing votes. In contrast, Barack Obama has run a tight, consistent campaign around the message of change and the notion that every vote counts. His actions in managing his campaign mirrors his words and there is the promise that an Obama presidency will offer the same engaging roll up your sleeves America we have work to do attitude. Americans feel inspired and empowered to share Obama’s presidency and literally take back the White House through advocacy and activism.  He will bring millions of us with him to the Oval Office if his campaign succeeds.

In comparison to Obama’s campaign, Hillary Clinton’s campaign seems old and recycled to the new media generation. Her idea of breathing new life into her campaign last month was to bring in the old White House aides in her husband’s administration. Sometimes experience is a hindrance when a manager cannot embrace new people and ideas to invigorate a company or in this case a campaign.

If Hillary Clinton loses the primary, it is because country appreciated her service to the country but voters are unwilling to go back to the future and re-live the 1990s. Barack Obama represents leadership for a new era in American history that’s about to begin.

Klu, if you look at my page there are 3 stories I sent down that went from processing failed, to now not available. But the blanks are still on my page. Wouldnt it be wise to have a tool that can remove a blank from an Ireporters screen to keep it more professional looking. I'm holding off on sending any copy or pictures down until the boss lets me know it is repaired. Just a thought.

I wasn't sure where to send this letter to so I suppose in an IREPORT will have to do.

Earlier today on CNN a story and video of a soldier in the middle east took a puppy and threw it over a bridge. Who ever approved that video to be aired to the public should be fired. I am amazed that such a sick and twisted act would be allowed to be viewed by all. A sorry little warning about a disturbing image isn't sufficient to excuse to show a video this disturbing. I guess that even CNN has lowered its standards to sensationalism for public ratings. I suppose I shouldn't be suprised when the next level in "shocking" images is displayed on my TV, such as the beating of a child or murder of a child. fortunately I do have a choice to turn off CNN and I will not be viewing CNN for quite some time if ever again.

Why does it seem so difficult to send a simple thought.

Your web page is a little confusing.

Where are the George Washington's, the Lincoln's, the Roosevelt's,the Kennedy's,the Regan's today?  They've got to be out there somewhere.  Why do the parties keep giving a lessor of the evils choice?  Hillary's just plain scary, but  John and Orack aren't that much better, either.

The State department is now investigating the snooping into Obama's Passport. Like many others whom the Clintons consider their enemies were given difficulties by the FBI and IRS even after Bill Clinton was finished at the Whitehouse.  I would not be suprised to hear that the individuals are reporting to the Clintons.

Why is the media so reluctant to make known the truth of the Clinton's dishonesty and vinductiveness experienced by so many? Are you afraid you will be their next victim?

Ross Peroet said it like like its turning out in america. He stated that if NAFTA is allowed to pass, the USA will become a third grade country. All the big corp. will send our jobs overseas, and the USA will have major layoffs. Also I cant understand why oil prices are high ? According to the dept of energy Sunco,Conoco, Sinclair, BP/Phillips, Hess, Arco, Pilot, Flying J, Loves,Ractrac, Valer0 gets their gas from the states, the resty from overseas. Why are they not dropping the price, and making the rest of them drop. We paid for the Alaskan pipe line yet, the oil is going to Cal ( which has the highest prices) and the rest is going overseas according to my congressman.

Wake Up, U.S., Before It’s Too Late!

While millions of our citizens, including the Executive, the Legislative and Judicial branches of our government, are sleeping—in figurative sense—momentous financial decisions, with unprecedented ramifications, are being made by the powers that be to relegate the U.S. into a mediocre economic power, thus paving the way for a one-world government.  The powers that be are none other but the Federal Reserve Bank, the Trilateral Commission and the Council of Foreign Relations (CPR).

However, the Federal Reserve System, with its approximately 300 shareholders and banks, constitutes the most insidious threat to the economic security and vital interest of this country.  They exercise absolute power over Congress itself, over the presidency, the courts, the banking system, Wall Street, the media and all other institutions designed for public protection.  In short, armed with Congressional and Executive backing, the Feds, its Chairman and 12 Governors are the de-facto government that controls our economic, our political and military affairs.

According to Article 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution, Congress shall have the power to coin money and regulate the value thereof.  The power to coin or print money and regulate its value, however, was delegated to the Federal Reserve in 1913 by an act of Congress.  Operating under Congressional approval since then, this quasi-governmental institution has been using this power unscrupulously at the expense of the people of the United States and for the selfish gains of its shareholders.  While our government has been called a government of the people, by the people and for the people, it is also a government against the people since the delegation of the power to print money was unconstitutionally assigned to the Federal Reserve Bank.

Moreover, the Feds use the U.S. Treasury Department to print money at the expense of the taxpayers; lend the money to the U.S. Government, to banks and other financial institutions; charge them billions of dollars in interest annually.  To worsen matters, they commission the IRS to collect trillions of dollars in income tax from the taxpayers.  Yet, they themselves pay no income tax on the interest collected.   They operate under Congressional approval.  Yet, they are not under Congressional oversight or supervision.  They impose the laws on the people of the United States.  Yet, they themselves are exempt from those laws.  Numerous attempts in Congress over the years to enact laws to require accountability from these powerful people have been futile.  While most of our citizens think the Chairman of the Federal Reserve and his 12 Governors are part of the U.S. Government, they are actually part of a private corporation that promotes the interests of its patrons at all costs .

Consequently, the Congressional Branch, under the Senate and the House of Representatives, and the Executive Branch, under the president, have never seen, let alone audited, their books.  They operate in the U.S. Yet, their primary goal and objective is to enrich their national and international shareholders even if they have to engineer economic slowdowns, recessions or depressions intermittently and to enslave the people with cumbersome debts through secured loans or mortgages and unsecured loans or credit card debts.  In short, they will always bail out Wall Street or the bankers, while Main Street or the masses are let alone to suffer the pains and agony of downturns in the economy and a National Debt that may never be repaid.

In fact, the National Debt, the money the U.S. Government owes to the Federal Reserve, amounts to more than $9, 000, 000, 000, 000.00 (Nine trillion dollars).  Interest is being accrued on the debt as you read this article.  And as you continue to witness the unfolding of the mortgage debacle, the wave of foreclosures sweeping over the country, the defaulting of some of the oldest financial institutions of the world, the continuing credit crunch strangling business activity, the demise of the automobile industry—to mention a few, the Republican and Democratic Congressional leaders, President George W. Bush himself, and presidential contenders John McCain and Barack Obama are absolutely clueless as to the shadow government behind this crisis…Let alone what to do to rectify these protracted wrongs.  Ladies and gentlemen of all faiths and political persuasions, unraveling before us is the greatest fraud ever perpetrated in the history of our Republic:  The embezzlement or transfer of an additional trillion dollars from the taxpayers into the coffers of the owners of the Federal Reserve Bank.

The solution proposed by President Bush in his nationally televised speech of September 24, 2008, was to borrow $700, 000, 000, 000.00 (Seven Hundred Billions Dollars) from the Feds to bail out the banks—a decision which is tantamount to putting a second story on a building that is standing on an already shaky foundation.  I opine that such huge sum of money should be used strictly to bail out Main Street:  Homeowners facing foreclosures on the one hand.  On the other hand, Wall Street:  the banking system, the primary crony of the Federal Reserve System, should be buried in the proverbial hole it had been digging for the taxpayers for nearly a century.  And the president himself, being accessory to this epic fraud, should be indicted in the court of public opinion for treason against the Republic.

I finish dealing with the problem, is there a proposed solution?  Is there anything that you as individuals may do to reverse the collapse of the present economic system, thus preventing these bankers from succeeding in their ultimate goal of marginalizing this country into a mediocre economic power, thereby establishing a one-world government?  Who among us can stand up to this financial international cartel, the financiers of World War I, of World War II, The Russian Revolution, The Korean War, the Vietnam War?  Are we so ignorant of the past (history) that we are about to repeat it?  Are we so symbolically blind that we are heading toward the ditch of a one-world government that will eventtually precipitate us into World War III?

Unfortunately, the answer is a resounding yes!  While a countless number of people are advocating a series of measures—from an armed revolt reminiscent of the Revolutionary War in the 1700s to refusing to pay income tax and demonstrating en masse around the country—all these tactics will in the long run be proven to be counterproductive in stopping the quest of the Feds to rule the world.  As a matter of fact, any preventative measure undertaken to abort the continued formulation of the New World Order may be too little too late.  And any effort on your part may actually never have any significant, preventative effect.

Evidently, being sold out to special interests, Congress and the president lack the will, the power and intestinal fortitude to abolish the Federal Reserve System, thus ending this fraud of epic proportion that has been perpetrated on the taxpayers for approximately 85 years since Congress sold the United States' soul to the national and international bankers that control the Feds.

The only alternative then is for you to appeal to the legislatures of two-thirds of the states to call for a convention at which constitutional amendments can be proposed.  Amendments proposed by the convention, however, would require ratification by the legislatures of three-fourths of the states.  Congress often limits to seven years the period for ratification by the states; therefore, this process is time-consuming and costly and may be too little to late to rescue our citizenry from future economic, political and social ruin.

Meanwhile, concerned citizens of all walks of life and political persuasions must do whatever possible to forewarn the people of the result of indifference, including the impending economic collapse, the ensuing social woes and, ultimately, anarchy:  The breakdown of law and order in our society.

And, above all, unless we as a nation repent by returning to the Judeo-Christian principles upon which this nation was founded...unless we wake up before long, the ultimate disaster, the nuclear holocaust of World War III and other catastrophic events of the future are too severe phenomena to describe in this writing.  However, any interested reader may contact me directly via e-mail at JL4JC2@aol.com for additional information on these and other pertinent topics.

Meanwhile, I strongly urge the citizens of this nation, including Congress, the president and the courts to wake up before it’s too late!

Subject: We Deserve It DividendReal Trickle Down economics we can live with NOW HERE IS A PLAN I CAN LIVE WITH!  We Deserve It DividendReal Trickle Down economics we can live with  THIS IS A GOOD ONE ...................

I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.

Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in

a We Deserve It Dividend.

To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000

bonafide adults in the U.S.

Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman

and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..

So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billion that equals $425,000.00.

My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a

We Deserve It Dividend.

Of course, it would NOT be tax free.

So let's assume a tax rate of 30%.

Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes.

That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.

But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.

A husband and wife has $595,000.00.

What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?

Pay off your mortgage – housing crisis solved.

Repay college loans – what a great boost to new grads

Put away money for college – it'll be there

Save in a bank – create money to loan to entrepreneurs.

Buy a new car – create jobs

Invest in the market – capital drives growth

Pay for your parent's medical insurance – health care improves

Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean – or else

Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks

who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company

that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.

If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it...instead of trickling out

a puny $1000.00 ( 'vote buy' ) economic incentive.

If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!

As for AIG – liquidate it.

Sell off its parts.

Let American General go back to being American General.

Sell off the real estate.

Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.

Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't.

Sure it's a crazy idea that can 'never work.'

But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!

How do you spell Economic Boom?

I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion

We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC.

And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned

instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest.

First time to make comment but watch CNN all the time.

We are neighbours, I live in Canada, closer to Alaska than some of you.

Blacks, Nigers, Terrorist,Friends of Terriost, these are some of the words that your citizens are discribing your presidential nominees.

It seems like the media is affraid to say any of these words but it seems many are thinking that US citzens are saying them but, also saying no way in H..l that we are going to have a negro president. Do these citzens, think or care what the rest of the world is thinking about you as a country. How can you say you are proud of your country when you let this type of ethnic clensing happen right here in the USA.

You talk about other countries and want to change them to believe in your high morrals. What morrals?

You let vice president nominees say these words and everyone knows she is talking about a black man, this negro. But god forbid to say anything about a womens rights. What about anyones rights, does it come in the USA in Gender or Color. AS long as it is White, Gender does not matter.

What is the rest of the world, including your neighbours going to think when you vote for a President. but the winner must be WHITE. Then you want this person and his associates telling the rest of the world what is good or what is bad.

When you know it is wrong, why do you let people in politics, man or woman to get away with this type of abuse. Or is it just do not offend the woman because all colors other than WHITE are not allowed to be treated equil.

ARE YOU GOING TO BE ELECTING A PRESIDENT BECAUSE OF HIS QUALIFICATIONS, HIS IDEAS, HIS BELIEFS, HIS PRESIDENTIAL ABILITIES OR HIS COLOR!

Yes I am a Canadian, a white canadian, born here in Canada, I just hope that Canadians, will never lets this type of racism happen here. Yes racism can happen in a city or in a rural area, or at a job. Lets just hope it never happens in our politics to let the world see that all North Americans have no morral consideration for others.

I don't know if this is news is important or not but anybody that owns a Mercury of Ford automobile be aware. I have a 2005 Mercury Montego with 37.693 miles on it and I need a complete transmission which cost 5,500.00 dollors to replace. I took my car to the dealer and called Ford the manufactor to foot the bill because that should not happen. They told me that they would pay on 2500.00 dollars and I would have to pay the rest. I undersatand I am over the manufactor warrenty but transmissions do not go out with that few of miles. So buyers need to be aware if the buy a Ford or Mercury they may have a lemon and the company does not back the vehicles. On top of that I use to work for Ford Motor Company.

That is not what the economy wont's to hear after the economy is in bad shape.

They get bonus at AIG when the economy is in bad shape. At other jobs we don't get bonus, raises, we don't get our 5 days no more that's not fare.
