Telling us what's important to you

iReporter Chris Banderslice was especially busy reporting the news yesterday. He witnessed a nine-alarm fire on the historic boardwalk in Ocean City, Maryland. Shortly after the blaze began he sent a series of photos from his cell phone, such as this one of firefighters up against the smoke . CNN learned about the fire thanks to Banderslice, and created an interactive map with his photos over on CNN.com.

The idea behind iReport.com is to invite everyone -- from the casual reader or viewer to the avid news hound -- to share the news that's important to you. The Ocean City fire is an excellent example of a story with powerful local impact. So, no matter how big or small the story is, we want to know what's happening near you . Your story could be part of CNN's worldwide coverage.

Hello Everyone! Just so happens what I call the great American  "pastime" of "United We Stand, Departed We Fall" hsould again be put to the test... Have you or anyone you know experienced lately telephone harrassment from Debt Collectors ? most likely the answer is yes, especially with the economy the way it is, and with unaffordable gas prices, a huge percentage of families have fallen into debt. Look how Bear Stearns went Bankrupt, buying thousands of secondary home mortgages, families fell short on their mortgage debt while paying their gas credit cards to get along, or be out of a job.

Now, these Debt collectors, they're the worst form of element to ever hit the streets, they really belong in the sewers. They wake you up early in the morning and interrupt your weekends with harrassment calls and future threats to continue these viscious calls until you pay. Well, they're in violation of State and Federal Laws of Debt Collection harrassment. A Notice of cease and Desist must be sent registerd to them and they should stop. But it's time that America takes a stand and dissalow this form of harrasment from perpetuating, with monitoring and charging these Collection Agencies who are in violation of citizens rights !

Write your Congessman or Senators and report these Collection companies with the hope that government will enforce the Laws they mandate !

My son Felipe Alejandro was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome on March 15th.  He is 16 and has a heart of gold.  For years we knew something was wrong, i.e. his speech, and different movement of his body but really never knowing until now.  Now learning all we can and seeking help for treatment.  However, we live here in Bogota Colombia, SA and awareness for Asperger's is practically zero.  We hope to help awareness down here in helping others that we know of and seeking and having solutions, i.e. treatment.  Please help us down here.

Sincerly,

Reid Braswell

The home forclosure mess just may be more involved than we think. Three years ago, I purchased liability insurance through my bank to protect me in the event of an illness which indeed did occur. I had surgery for a knee replacement which required months of painful physical therapy. After the bank made a few of my mortgage payments, it refused to continue doing so when it found out from my doctor that my disability would possibly be permanent.

I was shocked when I found out that not only had the bank continued to debit my bank account for the premium, it niotified me that if I could'nt pay the entire amount of the loan within 30 days, it would foreclose on my home!

In desperation, I frantically attempted to save my home from my sickbed, and thank God, I was able to pay off the debt if full, but to add insult to injury, the bank alleged that it incurred thousands of dollars in attorney fees during the preleminary foreclosure process which it rolled into the contract when the house sold!

In short, disability insurance is not worth the paper it's written on, especially if the bank uses its own insurance company! BUYER BEWARE!!!

Hello world my name is Stephen I have recently discovered    complex yet simple mathematical equations in the last book of the bible, now thats not interesting unless i told you i solved them and you could see the connection between them all, the problems are in revelations chapter 13 verse 18 it is described as the mark of the beast it says let the one with wisdom calculate the mark of the beast after the math is done the answer is 13. The next problem is Chapter 17 verse 9 The answer there is 13 also.  Another problem is at the beginning of chapter 13

the answer is 13 there also. No one ever has seen or solved these if you would like to see the math i will only show important people, news media, scholars and important people. My e-mail is stevek_85@hotmail.com If you want to contact me thank you.

I had the flu this past week. And as a 35 year old divorced woman in Atlanta with no kids I got a little scared. With the closest relatives about 300 miles away, I realized that the world certainly doesn't revolve around me... although the world does in fact need me.

Hello,

I don't understand why "War in Iraq" IS SOOO important to Bush and McCain.  It's marching in its 6th year for Pentagon's. I believe Pentagon has tried their best. It means "War in Iraq" is behond Pentagon can handle. who recommended Bush "War in Iraq" at the first place ?  CIA ? Then, why not ask CIA's opinion ? Why not hire CIA's specialistists to handel war crime, terrors issues ? We can spend 1/5 or even less of the price in military spending onto CIA's specialists and give them an indefinite time but "must finish the projects."

Or, We can even find the "prisoners" to do the mission impossible.  Many prinsoners have more skills and experiences to handle these terrors than Pentagon's can.

I am so scared of Bush and McCain make the US and world a horrible place to live

April 9, 2008    Kaunakakai, Molokai, Hawaii

With today's cutting down of coconut trees to use as barricades and the latest comments from the CEO of Molokai Properties, Ltd., Peter Nicholas to the President of the local ILWU union confirm the long suspected strategy of the development company. ILWU 142 president Fred Galdones said that in Friday’s talks with union officials, Ranch CEO Peter Nicholas said the company closed for financial reasons, and told employees that he hoped the community would “rally behind La’au. Peter told us the union reps that the property is not for sale, no matter what…” Galdones continued, “They said, ‘In order to move forward, we need community support to overcome opposition from the environmentalists,” reported Galdones. “MPL said Monsanto would be the next target.”

Molokai Properties, Ltd. Is a subsidiary of the Malaysian based GuocoLeisure Ltd., which is one of the companies under the corporate umbrella of Hong Leong Group Malaysia. Executive Chairman Tan Sri Quek Leng Chan is reported to be the fifth wealthiest man in Malaysia and twentieth most powerful businessman in all of Asia.

Peter Nicholas has spearheaded the company’s strategy to develop 200 luxury homes along the southwestern shoreline of Molokai Island, in an area described by local Hawaiians as “Sacred”.  After years of unsuccessfully trying to coerce the community into accepting their proposal in exchange for allegedly donating 50,000 acres to a land trust or in conservation easements; Nicholas announced the closure of Molokai Ranch on March 24th.   While publically placing the blame on Hawaiian activists and community environmentalists, the company suffered significant set backs in their bid to obtain state approval of their Environmental Impact Statement in two recent decisions by the Hawaii State Supreme Court regarding their water rights.

According to DeGray Vanderbilt, past president of the Molokai Planning Commission, “This project would have been the largest coastal subdivision ever developed in the state, running along 5.5 miles of undeveloped, pristine coastline. Ranch executives boasted the project would be marketed to "pentamillionaires" seeking a second or third home.  Vanderbilt continues to explain, “In addition to La'au, Molokai Ranch wanted to keep its existing entitlements at the Kaluakoi Resort for six hotels, three condominium projects, 21 acres of undeveloped commercial lands and planned areas for hundreds of additional luxury houses.  But Moloka'i refused to buy into La'au Point. The community remained true to its vision and refused to sell out for the "carrot" that promised a loosely defined quick fix.”

The question remains, “If the closure is truly a business decision (because of reported losses), why isn’t the Ranch up for sale?”  Ranch executives have refused to comment since issuing the press release on March 24th announcing the shutdown.  Local residents’ fear that MPL is using its assets and sacrificing the employee’s welfare as merely a strategic move designed to further divide the community and destroy its fragile economy.  There was not much talk and certainly no answers during the two weeks following MPL’s announcement.  And now, many residents suggest that it seems more than coincidental that the latest announcement regarding the status of its EIS came only one day after the confirmation of the Ranch-endorsed candidate for the State Director of Planning.

Molokai Island is the fifth largest in the Hawaiian chain and is regarded as the “Last Hawaiian Island” primarily because the majority of the 7,500 inhabitants are of Hawaiian descent and a significant number of locals rely on a subsistence lifestyle of living off of the land.  The visitor industry on the island has remained relatively constant since the closing of the Kaluakoi Hotel in 2000.  Molokai is world renown because of Kalaupapa, the site where Father Damien ministered to Hansen Disease patients in the nineteenth century.

The closure of Molokai Ranch’s Lodge and Beach Village represents 20% of the visitor accommodations on the island and Hawaii State Governor Lingle recently stated "The loss of this many jobs in such a small community like Moloka'i is equivalent to 23,000 people on O'ahu losing their jobs on the same day."

In spite of the shutdown of the majority of the west end businesses including the Lodge and Beach Village, the Maunaloa theater and gas station and the Kaluakoi golf course; local residents are eager to unite in setting the record straight and in purchasing the Ranch.

A local resident and former employee of Molokai Ranch explained, “While the uniqueness of Molokai adds challenges to ‘thriving’ in a western sense, it is this very uniqueness that is inherently tied to the richness of the local lifestyle and ultimately to the draw of the destination. Molokai has never been the right choice as a vacation destination for the masses; but has never failed to delight those travelers who are looking for an authentic immersion in Hawaiian culture or a revitalizing respite from the more commercialized & harried versions of "Aloha" often found on other shores.”

Local community members are working overtime in their efforts to secure private funding for the eventual purchase of the Ranch and for establishing a community plan designed to provide economical sustainability without sacrificing their rural lifestyle.  Agriculture, alternative energy, education and culturally based tourism are but a few of the ideas being discussed as options to development.

MEN WITH CHILDREN?!!!

The Eldorado Ranch thing.  This is SICK!!!! These men should be strung up by their balls and smoked in cat shit!!  To systematically destroy young girls with barefoot, pregnant, & brainwashing and calling it anything related to CHRIST is SICK & SINFUL! This garbage is not what Christ taught!  In the beginning God made man and woman monogamous - outside of GOD's plan - what is the point of marriage?  That is nothing but a bunch of sick old men raping girls who do not belong to them.  Did they forget - those women are GOD's children!!  My prayer is that each and every woman and child from that wicked place find love, abundance, happiness, and a faithful monogamous mate at the right time in life.  -- And no more children forced to have children or sick old men laying on top of them.

I thought you all keep up with the news. I was looking on the internet and I found two websites where the KKK endorses Obama and one clan organization gave him a $250,000 donation.Racism works both ways no one has the right to discriminate whether he is black or white. Now it alright for blacks to tamper with the election process by threaten other blacks to vote for Obama. If people was doing this for Hillary you all would blame Hillary. You got blacks with websites saying if blacks do not vote for Obama they are racist. I understand the media pretty well they surpress news that people should know about. Have you read the book of The Five Black Presidents by Doctor Leroy Vaughn? Well if my information does not get on the news. I will not be surprise. We live in a world that is based on lies. And for your information I am black.

Subject: Now What?

When the Rev. William Procanick put his hand on the Bible during his

Sex-abuse trial in Oneida County Court earlier this year, he swore to

tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. But as the former Clinton

pastor was sentenced  Friday to three years in prison for inappropriately

touching a 7-year-old girl at his home last March, Judge Michael L.  Dwyer said

Procanick sacrificed his honesty the day he testified.

Okay, so now that Clinton's pastor has been convicted of child molestation,

will we see the same furor directed at Hillary that Obama has had to endure

these last few weeks?

IF CANDIDATES ARE KNOWN BY THE PASTOR THEY KEEP ......

then this needs to be covered in prime time news...

Here the CLINTON'S Pastor is convicted of child molestation.

So, if Obama bears the guilt for his pastor's comments, then Hillary

has to be equally tainted by this so called pastor's crimes.

I am a former Marine who always votes Republican, but not this year.  I will vote for Barrack Obama.  How can I vote for John McCain who flip-flops on the issues such as the helping Americans with housing foreclosures.  He has been living high on the hog, the American taxpayers since he's been a kid, just like the Bushes.  He has too many ties to lobbyists and Washington, look at his campaign staff.

Now you have Hillary (Billary) Clinton who will lie, steal, cheat her way into office.  She learned from the best, her Husband.  When she speaks, she tells lies and has to apologize for it, such as the Bosnia incident.  She hasnt dropped out of the race because she needs to steal money from her donors to pay back the millions of dollars she loaned herself for her campaign.  She cheats by trying to get the delegate votes from Florida and Michigan because she needs them to win this election.  She has to move to New York to become a US Senator because Arkansas wont elect her. If she is a Pennsylvania native, why isnt she representing Pennsylvania in the US Senate?  She is a carpetbagger.

Now you have a person who speaks the truth and Clinton and McCain want him to apologize for what he says.  Why do you apologize for speaking truthfully?  He has no ties to Washington or the lobbyists because he has none working on his campaign.  Why do you think McCain and Clinton need to get in office because they need to pay back the people who are working hard to get them in office, not the hard working Americans who are footing the bill.

This country is in trouble and it will get worse, if we the people dont do something about it now.  The only time we are a true democracy is election time.  Its time we dont elect a professional politician, such as McCain or Clinton. We need to wake up or we are going to get a rude awakening.

SPACE TECHNOLOGY IS VERY IMPORTANT...a new look into the future of science....

A new theory for Faster Then Light Speed Space Travel has hit the book market. The name of the author is Rodney Kawecki of Los Angeles California. The book title " The Supertellic Electromagnetic Gravitational Universe Technology Theory ". The author of this defiines the means for faster then light space travel within the frameworks of the standard model of the Universe. His formula stems as an extension he calls 'The Quantum Constant that mathermatically is equal to 372,000 miles per second. THE FIRST BOOK EVER COVERING A MATHEMATICAL FORMULAAE FOR FASTER THEN LIGHT SPACE TRAVEL.

The basis of his theory illustrates a passage in the Universes physical structure that allows for FTL within the framework of relativity and E=Mc2 entailed by Einstein's atomic energy constant. But what does cahnge is the velocity. Kawecki explains that the theory of relativity developed by Einstein is a science of gravitation. Gravitation being the interuption entity that slows objects as they accelerate. Since matter velcoities on the earths suraface are slowed down by gravity which he explains is not an actually field as Einstein claims. But that gravity slows objects from them having the ability to travel at their full potential. It is this potential that in empty interstellar space allows a speed of an object to increase by. From traveling at the speed of light - 186,000 m/s the light constant called the Kawecki Constant in the Supertellic Universe book increases to twice the velocity or as I mentioed 372,000 m/s. The interuption of TIME in Kawecki's theory is bound by the new velcoity that in relativity the infinite future is dialogued. But in The Quanta Physics Study " is increased where time flows backwards as a result from traveling at the speed of light and traveling the infinite future dimension frame.

Kawecki has transformed the dialogue of advance modern physics to a fantastic intermeiate literature. Believed to be a fact of the science in modern physics Rodney Kawecki beleives his theory is unique enough to be accepted as a sound and protective dialogue for future scientific exploration technology.  SEGUTT short spelling for the title of the book. Is an ambitious book literature comparable to quantum dynamics and relativity and those physicists in the developement of classical modern physivs advancements.  Even though The Supertellic Force'  asserts a faster velocity then relativity its mathematics are in sequence with relativity equations. Acting as an extension SEGUTT or The Quanta Physics Study ' illustrates an increase in objectal velocity traveling through open interstellar space assumed to Albert Einstein to be the same as his gravity field figures.  This diivsion of space and field desrciptions are separated in Q.P.T. study math and

explained as separate entity fields. That approach not relevent with Einstein's work that is contradicted.

As such this book is a must read for community intterest groups that are most interested in science especially modern physics and controvercy about the Universe space time and future exploration technology. Written well enough that a layman can read. This book I guarentee won't let you put it down.

THE IMPORTANCE OF FASTERT THEN LIGHT SPACE TRAVEL IS WITHIN THE DESIGN TO TRAVEL TO PLANETS OUTSIDE ARE OWN SOLAR SYSTEM. THE WAY SCIENCE IS TODAY SUCCH FEATS ARE IMPOSSIBLE. THIS HAS BEEN PUBLICED IN ALBERT EINSTEIN'S SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL'S IN GENERAL AND SPECIAL RELATIVITY. ALL THI IS ABOUT TO CHANGE. ALONG WITH IT A LOT OF SCIENCE BASED  ON EINSTEIN'S LIGHT CONSTANT SPACE TRAVEL SPEED LIMIT CALLED  " THE UNIVERSAL SPEED LIMIT "".

After watching Penn debate on ABC, I believe it should be Hilary Clinton is the president, not Barack Obama.

Reason 1. She start to outpass her past - being first lady, senate, being only child, being mother, lawyer, etc., She became very "adaptable", "dipolmatic" and "thorough."

2. "Complete and thorough" - She isn't always doing things right at the beginning and sometimes she will be panic. However, after given lengthy of time, she will digest and conclude a very "complete, thorough, accurate" result which is very impressive. She admits mistakes and take advise to correct it.

3. It's not ony her healthcare, her foreign policy, her domestic infracture build-up plus gun-control..  She covers almost all the people in the same boat.

4.  From now till ongoing future, we need more "thorough" build-ups and "thorough" clean-ups.

I like Barack Obama's "hope." His "change and hope" awakening almost everyone in the planet but his doing the right thing is "too small."  I don't think Rev. Wright has anything to do with him or his white grandma has parcitular good/bad toward his upbringing. Maybe, maybe not. I think he is a righteous person. I like his being african american. He is charming and very "intelligent", almost "brilliant." However, I think his "action" is "too small" and too "cautious."  It's something to do with his family. His daughters are still in the elementary school ages. His mind set is "careful" and "cautious" for mostly Generation X and Gernation Y. Yes, he does concern about blue collars. He does concerns about Economy. McCain is playing around the politics/system/policites.  There are more of the problems that mature people needed to be taken care of.

Barack Obama is now in between of Hilary Clinton and John McCain.  I don't know why situation turns around this way. So, I think Hilary could win over John McCain in Nov. instead of Barack Obama.

I live in Mt. Carmel, Illinois.  Since Friday my daughter and I practically bolt when a semi rumbles through town.  I know our 5.2 quake is nothing compared to California, but we certainly are not used to this.

We are currently suffering from some sleep deprivation.  Friday AM we had the 5.2 quake.  Since then there have been numerous aftershocks.  This AM at approx. 12:40 we had a 4.1 and were again shakened awake.  It is difficult to go to sleep after you are shakened.

Are these truly aftershocks? or are they foreshocks?  I experienced the 5.1 rumble in 1987 and do not remember these aftershocks.

Checked with my State Farm agent this morning.  I have a new sectional home and learned that I do have insurance for "earth movement" and I am $500 deductible.  However, did you know that a stick built home may have a 10% deductible?  That would make a $100,000 home $10,000 deductible for damages.

The USGC (government geologists) have some equipment out by Lick Prarie Church (between Mt. Carmel and West Salem) where it is believed the epicenter is.  It would be nice to know what they are thinking about all of this.

This is much scarier than a tornado.  Usually, there is some kind of warning with a tornado.  I lived in Allendale in 1989 when the F4 hit and I must admit that it came and then it was gone.  This earthquake seems to linger in our everyday lives on and on and on.

After long and serious thought, I have decided to endorse Senator John McCain for President.  I have always voted for the person and have not voted for anyone because some political party was telling me who I should vote for.

We all know the choices by now and, that said, I do believe that the process of selecting a chief executive is deeply flawed. The words "money" and "special interests" come to mind, among many others.

Here's the way I see it:

Barack Obama, you are a fine public speaker. You are also an extremely liberal Senator from the State of Illinois , which has a long and rich history of political corruption of the first magnitude. You are indeed a child of that system.

You have finally insulted my intelligence far beyond my capacity to tolerate your insults. It has nothing at all to do with your skin color. As a matter of fact, it would be so COOL to finally have an African-American for President. What a great statement that would be to the entire world that we are indeed the greatest country on earth!

But, unfortunately, General Colin Powell is not running, and YOU are NOT the man for this job !

Barack baby, you want me to believe that you have never heard the sermons of your own pastor, the Right Reverend "God Damn America" Jeremiah Wright. It is a matter of record that this has been your church for over 20 years. It is a matter of record that you were married there by this very pastor, and that your children were baptized there.

The good Reverend saw fit to visit Khadafy in Libya with you and to give a lifetime achievement award to Louis Farrakhan, of all people.

We have all now seen excerpts of his sermons all over the airwaves by now. And you have publicly stated that this man IS your "spiritual mentor".

BUT, your pastor is NOT the reason I am NOT voting for you. His words were disturbing enough, but it is your own HUGE church congregation, seen jumping, hooting and howling to his words in the background that disturb me the most. And please don't tell me you attended church there and never once heard a "discouraging word" in the 20 years you attended there. Don't tell me, that in addition to the good reverend, that you are now not having anything to do with all those other people seen hooting and howling out in the audience in the background of his fiery tirades.

Even Oprah Winfrey got disgusted and walked out. I am no Oprah fan, but still she did the right thing.

Now YOU look me in the eye and ask me to believe that you never heard such language in all the years you attended there! This is like me telling you that I attended dozens of Klan rallies and never once heard the "N" word. Yep. And Bill Clinton "did not inhale".

Yes, Mr. Obama, we all have friends who have said stupid things that embarrassed us, but NOW you have asked me to believe something that is so incredibly stupid that you are telling me that I am just stupid enough to believe you. THAT is the main reason that I will never vote for you. I am deeply sorry, that in a county teeming with enormously talented African Americans who would make a good President, that the political system has chosen YOU. You are a pathetic and plastic excuse for an American, who will not even salute the Flag during the Pledge of Allegiance. God forbid you ever get near the Oval Office.

Now, did I mention Bill Clinton ?

AH YES ! This brings us to MRS. WILLIAM JEFFERSON CLINTON, who this candidate really is, in spite of all the other names she may care to call herself. This "feminist" piece of work, of course, would like to be referred to as MS. and we all know who wears the pant suit in that family.

MS. Clinton, (sugar), it is just as depressing to realize that there are dozens of women who would also make great Presidents. But, unfortunately, the horrible state of the selection process has selected YOU.  Ms. Clinton, I'm sorry, but you could not tell the truth if we waterboarded your worthless a** !

Still you play the role of the "embarrassed but dignified noble wife". What utter malarky! I am not voting for you for a world of reasons, but the main one is the same as my not voting for Senator Obama. You persistently insult my intelligence. It COULD be conceivably possible that you did not know about Monica Lewinsky, extremely remote, but possible if we stretch our imaginations a bit. But you turn around and then ask me to believe that you also did not know about Paula Jones and the legion of other women who were chewed up and spit out by your lecherous excuse for a husband. Puleese turn off this broken record !!!

But let's set aside your hubby's flagrant pecadillos. The real reason I will never vote for you is that I don't think the country can survive EIGHT MORE YEARS of Whitewater, Travelgate, Filegate, Sandy Berger stuffing his socks with classified intelligence, Janet Reno's goon squad, and the myriad other corruptions that seem to stick to you like your ugly face. So our former President can't keep his penis in his pants. The REAL issue is that he committed perjury under oath when he lied about it and the pathetically-attempted coverup that followed.

Like you, he is totally incapable of telling the truth. He could not do it if you tortured him, and in voting for you, we would get the BOTH of you, all over again. The same folks who could have taken out Osama Bin Laden over 3,000 dead Americans ago !

And please stop telling me that you have "8 years of experience" to lead us. You were the freakin' first lady already, not the Commander in Chief. Jeez ! The sum of your "experience" is that of the most worrisome and incompetent meddling in the history of the White House. You even cursed your pitiful staff and the Secret Service agents who were and still are unfortunately charged with risking their lives to protect your worthless, thieving hide, and all at the expense of other people who have to work for a living.

Your single pathetic platform is to finance the illegal drugs, alcoholism and bad habits of the very lowest and most irresponsible freeloaders in America and to then "garnish the wages" (your own words) of every law-abiding and hard-working American to pay for it. This disaster you refer to as "Universal Health Care". Where have you been the last 30 years ? Did you not see that socialism is a failure wherever it has been tried ? Did you not notice that the Soviet Union has collapsed since it gave no reward to those who worked the hardest for the fruits of their own labors to pay for those who will not ??

It is interesting to see all the dead bodies that you and your hubby have left in your wake. Suicides, mysterious deaths, cover-ups that make Richard Nixon look like a rank amateur. The utter contempt and unbelievable arrogance of some of your strongest supporters, most notably the recently resigned and disgraced Governor Eliot Spitzer, the epitome of hypocritical and malevolent arrogance gone wild, one of your most ardent, wealthy and powerful political supporters. A man the news media refuses to admit IS a "super delegate" in your own political machine, a fine example of your own "adopted" state of New York . No wonder you moved there to run for Senator ! The environment there is perfect for the likes of you !

Yes, I would vote for a woman, but I will NOT vote for YOU !

Which leaves us with Senator John McCain.

John, you are a flawed man. You are a bit old, a bit looney, and you have a notoriously bad temper. This perfectly qualifies you, in my humble opinion, to lead us for the next eight years. I WANT your trembling hand on the nuclear button.

Think about it.

We have Kim Jong IL, Chavez and Ahmadenijad all running around like lunatics, threatening America and threatening to plunge the world into nuclear Armageddon. We have Putin and the Chinese blustering and rattling their sabres at us. I want John McCain in the Oval Office and I want him to be really pissed off at all these other nut jobs around the planet.

John, once you are elected, I want you to go into the Oval Office and throw one of your perfect FITS. Jump up and down and throw something through a plate glass window. Rip the drapes down and foam at the mouth a bit. And I want the whole thing on camera so that Ahmadinejad can see it. I want ALL of these "world leaders" to lay awake at night and to break out in a cold sweat every time they think of messing with the United States of America .

I want the nuclear button sitting right next to the alarm clock on your night stand. I want pictures of this to be sent to Iran , Russia , China , Venezuela , Cuba , Libya , Syria , Pakistan , and those other a**ssholes in the sheets, the Saudis.

On the domestic front, poor John did try and reach across the aisle to the opposition in a desperate effort to compromise and to get the Congress to do something. You may not agree with his efforts, but at least he TRIED. For all his efforts, all he got handed to him was his head in a basket. The liberals are pissed at him and the conservatives are pissed at him. Just my kinda guy.

I predict that John will select Senator Joe Lieberman as his running mate. Good choice. I want a JEW whose memory of the Holocaust is still fresh in his mind and who is royally pissed off at all of these towel-headed morons in the Middle East to be the next in line if something should happen to John. Shalom, Vice President Joe. One heartbeat from the Oval Office.

Finally. John McCain knows on a most personal level what it is to suffer horrible torture for years and to see others die, right in front of you, for their love of America .  When you ask him about it, he will tell you that what he did was "nothing special". Even more incredibly, he states that ANY American who truly loves his country would do exactly the same as he did in that situation. You and I will have a hard time believing that, but the real point is that John McCain believes that about the "average American", and that, dear friends and neighbors, is why I will cast my one poor ballot for on election day for John McCain -- warts and all.

God Bless America ,

Senator Bob

You know I thought Denver and Aurora Police departments were bad since I've seen them shoot and kill unarmed innocent victims in the back not once but twice and get away with it but what I see happening in New York is nothing less then total corruption at the highest levels of city government. The fact that a trained police officer or in this case several can shoot an unarmed innocent victim over fifty times and nobody in government doesn't see anything wrong with it is beyond belief. This is where the Federal government needs to step in and investagate this case properly. I will never come to New York and spend one dime there, never!

WAKE UP AMERICANS, are you all really that stupid to spend 4 dollar a gallon gas to go vote on voting machines that a fifth grader could hack in to and change? It doesn't matter who you vote for the wheels have been in motion for years and theres no turning back now no matter who gets in to the white house. The fact is this country is heading down fast and theirs nothing anyone person can do to change it.

This is why this is such a great country because you can say what you want and you can vote for who ever you want even a mental case like John McCain. I say mental case because it hasn't come out the mental problems that this man still goes thru after being tortured so badly while being held as a POW. So if you all want to trust your ICBM's,(Nuk's), to a man that at any time could go off mentally then go for it but he doesn't have a chance in hell of getting elected. Hillary has excepted millions from various lobbist thru the years so if your happy with the way our government has been run vote for her. If you want to take a chance, which is what you that vote are doing everytime you vote, then vote for a black man for president. A blackman that even the press have a hard time finding dirty little secrets that they can expose and tear him apart which is what the press does so good. If your not happy with any of the choices then don't spend the four dollars a gallon gas and save it and don't vote!

Food security is very important to me. Populations will live longer and will have better health if the food has good quality and is nutritious.  I think it is time to give priority to agriculture and the study of agronomy.  This is a very important debate especially because that is how population can continue to bear children.  This is something which will take time and that is why Africa has to be taken into consideration more seriously because it is in the southern hemispher.  Thanks Lord America is also a Spanish speaking country and many vacationers enjoy sunshine which helps also to make fruits have a good taste. Cheers and enjoy the summer holidays.

go to myfoxtampabay.com   see new blogs title 2008 not 1808 not 1968            brace yourselves it gets ugly!

Hello Mayor Pam Lorio:

I am writing today with strong conviction deep concern. Please ask yourself as well as the Tampa city council person’s  Why in my city our city? Why? Unfortunately racism is alive & well & Jim Crow's of the south are running rampant. I am a native Detroiter who moved to the Tampa Bay Area with my wife & children 3 years ago. I thought I was moving from the inner city to a more peaceful community for the sake of my family the move seemed right. I assumed & from first glance thought the community I moved my family to was diverse & peaceful. Then two weeks ago l was forced back to reality my commute from my peaceful community of Valrico Florida 20 minutes to northern Tampa  my commute takes me up I-75 N.I do not believe & still do not believe my eyes to the north on the south bound side of the expressway the largest confederate flag I have seen in my life. There in living color flying boldly, symbolic swaying in the wind hatred front dead & center.

Why in 2008 would the city of Tampa allow such a deep seated symbol of hatred be displayed.  ask your staff & the city council would the city or state of Florida be so quiet & unresponsive if A black panther flag, a black power flag or a nation of Islam flag fly vividly over a state hwy that stretches from Key West to the Upper Peninsula of my home state of Michigan. Would America be so quiet then? Does Tampa not respect & love it’s people of color. Mayor is this the city you want to represent? This cannot be the majority’s approval and if this flag is an indicator of our community then I chose the wrong place to relocate my family,  The people of Tampa oppose this hate filled symbol, why in 2008 does the old southern way of thinking prevail, Jim Crow will not die.

I love people of all races & have raised my children to be diverse, what do I tell them now!  I will be contacting  several media outlets & a host of others including the National Football League concerning the Super Bowl scheduled for the Tampa Bay Area to bring about change in this poor decision made by the city of Tampa, County of Hillsboro , The state  of Florida  have made & allowed to exist I went to the small piece of land Mr. Adams refers to as a Memorial for southern pride & it hurt my heart & soul so bad I began to weep. It’s not a coincidence the location just north of MLK, visible by all to see driving that local stretch of hwy, the size, the placement, the symbolism precisely planned hatred for all to see. This is a dark moment for the city of Tampa! Shame has blanketed the city. Will nooses hang on the light fixture of I-75 next?

I don't mean to change the topics but why is this being allowed to happen?

A little back ground on myself as a means of stating where I'm coming from. I have no political affiliation. I’m a concerned citizen. I’m also a disabled Vietnam combat veteran suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (P.T.S.D.). I was volunteer Army. I served two (2) tours in Vietnam, after serving one tour in the area of the demilitarized zone in South Korea.

I was diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (P.S.T.D). in 1997. Prior to that I’d always managed to avoid being diagnosed.  I knew I had a problem but I also thought of the stigma attached to the problem. I didn’t discuss that I had been in Vietnam with people but sometimes people found out. I wasn’t ashamed of having served my country. I was proud. I was always told how great it was that I appeared not to be affected by my service in Vietnam. This was probably because I did a lot of blocking (hiding my true feelings and managing my behavior) when socializing or during the business day. I was in what is frequently referred to nowadays as denial. This isn’t about me. I only refer to myself as a means of presenting an example. Just give me a moment and I’ll explain where I’m going with this.

Russia is rearing its head as the old Soviet Union with its nuclear arsenal. Iran is a state on the doorstep of having nuclear weapons. We don’t really know what’s happening with North Korea.  There’s an unstable Pakistan with nuclear weapons. And we may elect a president with (a probability of) Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

And while we’re talking about “lipstick on a pig” no one seems to want to deal with the “elephant in the room,” P.T.S.D.

In all honesty, I would have to ask, what person could possibly go through being captured by the enemy, a P.O.W. for 5 ½ years and admittedly tortured, and still DO NOT suffer from P.T.S.D.? I know that man is NOT the Honorable Senator John McCain. I avoid politics but I had to say that. Having this disorder myself, I can sometimes see it in his face, his eyes and the way he talks. I don’t know if he’s diagnosed or not, but as I mentioned earlier, look at the facts. I avoided being diagnosed for close to three (3) decades.

We’re running the risk of electing a person to the highest office in the land, who’ll also affect the well being or situation of just about everyone on the planet, in one way or another. Senator John McCain has to suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (P.T.S.D.). Who’ll take the responsibility for him being elected? I’d hate to be the one responsible. That’s why I’m speaking up.

First, I think its great that he’s had such an illustrious career in government. So what I’m saying doesn’t in any way detract from that. Though I personally feel he could have done a lot more for veterans, particularly the disabled. Which we are part of. It’s like he’s a member of a family but he disowns the family.

I’ve heard he has had bouts of anger. I see him cloaking himself in patriotism and honor anytime just about anything he does is questioned. His staff is very good at that too, even when it’s not a question of his patriotism, which they seem to define as meaning the same exact thing as honor. Some things he does are questionable and need to be pursued without letting him cloak himself in our flag.

Please don’t get me wrong. There are people with P.T.S.D. that haven’t been diagnosed but they aren’t running for the presidency. If a person wants to hold an elected office in local & state government and they are otherwise qualified, even a position in the federal legislative branch, I have no problem with such. But NOT the presidency! That’s way to critical to allow someone with P.T.S.D. to occupy.

Yes. P.T.S.D. can be managed. It doesn’t mean it disappears or goes away. According to specialist there is no cure for P.T.S.D. Once you have P.T.S.D. you’ll always have P.T.S.D. One has it for life.

Some places in our country would refuse to sell people diagnosed with P.T.S.D. a gun. As incorrect  as such a policy may be. What am I to say? Are we seriously considering electing a president that has to be suffering from P.T.S.D. and would be capable of in essence putting his finger on a nuclear launch button? A person whom also seems to honestly  believe he’s a maverick and a rebel? His words! I don’t know how we’ve come to this. I’m very worried for all of us.

What's important to me?

1.  CNN should not use "Breaking News" for news that is not immediate.  Stale news is not "breaking".

2.  Hosts should not allow guests to talk over one another.  Broadcast 101.  Two guests shouting at one another does no one any good.  Viewers can't hear either of them.

I'm a news junkie who watches CNN frequently, but I change the channel when the above happens.

Come on, guys!  Be more professional.

Hopefully, one day we will have a nation of people who really listen. So far we are struggling to find our way. Unfortunately as a whole, we have proven to be a greedy, selfish, uncaring people who do not even to ownership of our own actions. First, to fix the economy will take time for it took time to ruin it. Instead of bailing out big business who will continue to lay off and over spend(which doesn't help!, invest more money into those Americans who are making an effort and rewrd them for it. This money will go back into the economy and help stablize it. Giving stimulus checks to anyone who has filed taxes is like throwing money away. It is inabeling the uninspired. Most bus. in America are top heavy and at the end of the day(as documented with recent history)the everyday worker who can not afford to take a $1. salary loses. Hello! You can spin it anyway you like but we are still gong downward. Is it really healthy to solely depend on self-proclaimed experts? Do you need to be one inorder to be taken seriously? or is it that you just need to make sure you do not affect certain bottom lines when seeking beneficial solutions to our nations lack of compassion for itself? This is only the beginning! There is so much to do and say. So, put your ego's aside and let's fix it. Our children depend on us. I think many of us have forgotten that it is not just your child but the children of the world. Remember, yours may be fine but if another is not he/she can and most likely will affect yours. One more thing! Can we please keep religion out of politics?! They each have there place. Thank you
