The Water whispered to the near by rock

Something is happening all across this land

Coming are Hopes and Dreams

Embodied in a brilliant Black Man

Then the Rock reached out for the Towering Tree

Help me spread the word far and wide

There's a new reason for us all

To straighten and quicken our stride

Suddenly the Tree thrusts toward Heaven

Releasing a hundred dazzling doves

Imploring them to soar into the Sun suffused sky

This is the moment, This is the time

America can once again hold her head up high

I cant wait to see how are new president will do in office. i wont to give him a few tips on energy. first i think obama should put energy saving light bulbs in the white house,second i think he should put solar panels on the whitehouse just as jimmy carter did in 1977,lastly i think obama should use hybrid vehicles in his huge motorcade.

The University of Florida emergency system was hacked into during Inauguration 2009. A text message was sent to all students that said "The monkey got out of the cage." As I am a alumni of the University of Florida, I was very ashamed to know that someone made it their business in an attempt to ruin such a historical day. I sincerely hope that my Alma Mater does everything in their power to find out who sent that text message and prosecute them to the full extent of the law.

Will you remember where you were January 20th 2008?

It’s funny how you remember some events or dates in particular. I was at summer camp on Beaujolais Island when I first heard Elvis had died in 1977, Manford Mann’s blinded by the light was playing on the radio. I was in the school library when I heard John Lennon was killed, sitting at the table by the Librarian office. On Aug 31st I had just got home from work around midnight when I turned on the television and heard that lady Diana had died. It was early January and I woke up early because I wanted to see the Space Shuttle Columbia Launch, I had just got home after working at Disney for a year and the last launch I saw at night from Cocao Beach not long before. Other crazy memories of OJ and his slow drive down the LA freeway, bartending at Casey’s and watched the first Iraqi war on television, and the endless rockets. Why I remember the Stud Scud I’m not sure? Waking up at 3:30 and looking at the alarm clock, only to find out Norbert Daniel passed away the next morning. Remembering the last thing he said was I will see you in January when school starts.

And, the most painful of all the days when my parents passed away. Working at Strykers, getting drunk for Dad or myself maybe. In my basement apartment, I think at 12:30 in the morning when the call came from the hospital that Mom passed. But, I had already said goodbye to her, earlier when I told her of my dream the night before. The dream where I was talking to my Dad and I told him Mom was sick, and he told me to tell her that it was ok, just let her know that your grandmother, me, and your sister Catherine are waiting for her.

But, those imprinted days on the brain weren’t all bad. I remember skating with Pierre Trudeau at City Hall, working for the Liberal Party. Standing on the auditorium stage wearing that florescent pink tuxedo, with my spiked hair and rayban sunglasses. My own littlegraduating statement. I remember being drunk with Gino in the lighting booth, not being able to do our AV jobs, and getting in shit and laughing so much about it. Hanging out by the school lockers again at the highschool reunion 20 years later. Thanksgiving dinner on the tennis courts in the South of France, the food and the amazing wine. My Touring and Whoring trip through the UK by train, the hunt for the perfect pint of Guiness, my journals and the people I met. And, my train trip to New York City, Philadelphia, Washington, and on to Florida.

I was lucky enough to see President Reagan’s innagural parade at Disney because it was cancelled due to bad weather in Washington. His helicopter pad was right beside the Canadian pavilion were I worked at Epcot Centre. President Clinton was playing a round of golf with Michael Jordan a couple feet from me, just outside my living room on the Las Vegas Country Club when I was going to University of UNLV.

So, why will today be one of those days etched on my brain? Why did this mean more to me, than any Canadian election every could. When I spent 24 hours in Washington a couple years ago in January the weather was pretty much the same. And, I had a world wind tour. I went to Arlington Cemetary and saw President Kennedys gravesight, and his eternal flame. His wife and daughter and son there as well. And Robert on the same Hill just around the corner. I went up the Washington monument, saw the Constitution, and Declaration of Independence. In Philadelphia I went to Independence Hall, where all this history began.

Why, today? In a word hope. Apparently I may be the old white guy, I was laid off, I can’t seem to find a worthwhile paying job. The cupboards are bare. I’m not sure which bill I won’t be able to pay next, and I’m broke. But, as President Obama said everyone deserves a chance, it’s time to get to work. Am I wrong to ride the American wave? Maybe, maybe not. Sadly, I’ve never felt my spirit lift by the New Canadian Government. But, for whatever reason tonight I am happy. Shit Happens! But, I know January 20th will be one of those days I will always remember.

FOR TODAY THOUSANDS OF RELIGIOUS DECEPTION, TRADITION AND CULTURE HAS DOMINATES, BLASPHEMED, DECEIVED AND BETRAYED OUR INNOCENTS CHILDREN AND YOUTH SPIRITUAL REALITIES OF JESUS. FOR ONLY, ONLY LAW OF JESUS FOR SEED OF MEN IS **TO LOVE, HONOUR, RESPECT ONE ANOTHER IN REALITY AND TRUTH AMEN.TODAY AS THE WORLD COULD SEE 25% OF THE SEED OF MEN STILL OPPOUSE, DESOBEY THIS REAL, TRUE, CREATIVE COMMANDMENT OF JESUS AND DO NOT CARE, WHILE THE OTHER 75% SUFFERS AS THE GOOD SUFFERS FOR THE LOSS, CONFUSE UNCIVILZE SPIRITUAL FOOLS ALWAYS.

Senator Gregg's withdrawal is another example of republican obstinence. The President reached out and now his hand is being slapped away. If it were me, I would've taken any position the opposing party offered. At least Gregg would be doing something to help the WHOLE country instead of floundering, republican recalcitrance. What a turncoat!
