CNN,
Shame on all of you for not allowing TV viewers to hear the crowd, especially when Bush & staff were announced! Anderson Cooper-you didn't even tell us about the crowd's reaction. We had to go to France24 just to hear what the reactions were.
What kind of American reporting was that?
My name is Anthony Ben Ealy and I live outside of Frankfurt West Germany.
I’m very Disappointed to have to report that! I must to lesson to the Inauguration speech of the next President of the United States of America over a German Radio Station because
the America Forces Network radio Station is not sending it..
The new Commander and Chef of the Armed Forces is not important enough to get a
Few minutes of broadcast time from a Military Radio! Station…
I am also former Military..
During one of the most important days in our nation's history I found myself sitting in a class--a class that didn’t have a TV, a class that didn’t discuss current events, a class that not once mentioned the inauguration of Barack Obama; it did not mention that he was the first democrat in office in almost ten years, that he is being sworn in at the moment, or even that he is the first black president of the United States ever! This was a moment in history when civil rights took a gigantic leap forward as Obama took his oath, showing that complete equality is finally becoming a true possibility. Instead, I was discussing the desert, which must be far more important to the University of Utah and its staff.
This sort of behavior is an embarrassment. This is an embarrassment not only to the University of Utah, but to all Universities who failed to see the importance of the inauguration ceremonies. Known for their liberalism, Universities thrive on historical events and promote unorthodox philosophical viewpoints. However, failing to mention the candidate in class may be acceptable, professors failing to discuss current events (outside of political science classes) with their students is also acceptable, but failing to respect and acknowledge the enormous importance this ceremony has in the lives of our generations is an act of complete ignorance. I guess to some the desert is just more important.

Not everyone bought in. I have started reducing my expenses by limiting the charitable contributions, tips, and donations I give. Since November I have saved over $4,000. by reducing these this part of my lifestyle. I need $5,000 more to off set his proposed tax increase. Redistribution is another phrase for expect the government to give it to you.
I'm not in and plan on keeping what I earn.
Strange that I hear no one mention how the Dow has fallen almost 2000 points since Obama was elected. The financial markets really endorsed our new president today with a drop of over 300 points. If the business world really believed in him, the market would be gaining on its faith in his ability to help the economy. As it stands, business knows with him the worst is yet to come.
Wny none of Barack's relatives are there? Not even his sister! Seems like the show is all about Michelle and her pips. What's up with that?
I am a firefighter who is inspired by the profound individual who now is the 44th President Barack Obama. I came to DC from Miami like many others spent thousands of dollars and traveled great distances because we felt there was no price you could be put on witnessing history. I am very familiar with HMS and the inconveniences we must endure to protect our nation. I was honored to be given a blue ticket by the IAFF President who wanted so proudly to have me share this special moment in history. Knowing that there would be record number of crowds, the disorganized security procedures were an embarassment to the protection of the American public. The fact that I was unable to even it make it through the security gate along with I know thousands behind me was not only extremely disappointing but was equally disappointing that we did not even have the opportunity to view or hear the inauguaration ceremonies due to a tremendous shortfall in the preparation of the most significant inauguaration of the decade if not the century. Because the lack of jumbotron screens and a speaker system that we were forced to listen to one of the greatest speakers in history on a portable handheld radio, when we were in visible sight of the capital steps. In addition I heard stories that those who did not even have tickets had a momentous experience due to the inconsistentcies of security procedures. After returning to my hotel, I met a young woman who had worked with Obama's campaign for the last two years who also had a similiar experience with not being able to make it through security with her father who traveled afar, had bought a new camera for the occasion and who was very saddened for her father as was he who missed the opportunity to witness history. She was very taken aback by whole experience as was I, that she is considering not returning to DC to continue her career opportunities.
how much is this party costing anyways?? i can think of a million ways to spend money on the economy, other than spending a billion on actors and singers !!! while the world rather party because a black president made it to the white house, "barack is half white also" but everyone seems to be celebrating the fact that he is 100 percent black and from the african american community. rather than celebrating who he is as an individual and what he "plans" on standing for ??? will history write him down as a black president which everyone in his community "stands on" or will he be bi-racial. print the facts not just color of his skin, FACE THE FACTS hes half and half and raised by a white mother and neglected by a black father
I too was not aware of the response by the crowd when Bush and his staff were introduced until I viewed an I-report that quite frankly shocked me. I believe this needed to be seen and heard by the American people and I felt that the crowds reaction to the introduction was immature and lacked the respect of the office of the President of the United States. I am a veteran and I wondered how many veterans sat in that place and heard the crowd respond they way they did. I only hope that the people that responded to our past president's name being said in an introduction someday do not respond to our current President in the same manner. No matter what Mr. Bush has done, he still is a past president of the United States and deserves the respect of the office. President Obama spoke of unity and responsibility to everyone, not to just a few Americans but all of us. I am sure that he would not be pleased with the reaction of the people some of who voted for Mr. Bush and now blame him for situations and conditions that he dealt with from 911 on and I hope and pray that President Obama does not have to deal with those same issues shortly after taking office. I respect the office and the man who serves in the office. We the people elected him and we don't get to change our choice half way through the term of office.
God Bless President Obama and the United States of America.
I walked house to house for Obama registered and inspried people to vote. 2,000,000 went to D.C. I am sick and I want to know what the rest of the world felt with all this joy an 2,000,000 and no arrest. Stop all the judgement and give us some joy for a few days. We know he will do his job give the U.S.A an world some credit on our new president. I WANT TO SEE THE WORLD'S REACTION TO THE U.S PRESIDENT OBAMA I LOVE HIM AND I WANT TO KNOW.
Angelsmukand,
Great question, thanks for noticing.
