The Republican senators had 8 years and we didn`t hear them or see them and now God blessed us with a new President, and now they want to show themselves they want our President to fail, they need to lay back and let the President do his job, when God is with us nothing can be against us.

I feel angry at the Rebublicians who for the last eight years have done nothing to stop mega dollars from flowing from the U.S.A.  Now they all want to voice their concerns as to how the money should be spent.  They don't even know how or where the last monies went, but all of a sudden they have all the answers.(Ha!!!)

Dhaka should be Obama's 1st destination in Muslim world

Says US researcher

Bss, Dhaka

Dhaka should be Barack Obama's first destination among Muslim countries, says Lisa Curtis, senior research fellow of the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank in Washington.

Curtis was speaking as a panelist at a briefing on "Implications of the recent Bangladesh election for business" at the US Chamber of Commerce in Washington DC yesterday.

She put forward two main arguments in favour of her proposal. First, Bangladesh is least susceptible to extremism as proved in the recently held election. Secondly, progress in women empowerment in Bangladesh has provided a solid check on the growing radicalisation prevalent in some other Muslim countries.

According to Curtis, economic option in Bangladesh now seems brighter than earlier.

She hoped there will be more tolerance among the political parties to work together for the people of Bangladesh.

She also urged the US government to consider lifting of all tariffs and allowing duty free access of products from least developed countries like Bangladesh to USA.

Bangladesh Ambassador to USA Humayun Kabir, who also spoke as a panelist, gave a detailed sketch on how Bangladesh economy has maintained its strong resilience.

He said that with a new conciliatory political culture emerged from a free, fair and credible election, Bangladesh is much investor friendly than other countries in the region.

Kabir also urged the US companies to take advantage of the investment opportunities in Bangladesh.

Another panelist Donal Camp, principal deputy assistant secretary of state for South and Central Asia, narrated on how warmly the US government welcomed the recent election in Bangladesh.

The session was followed by a lively question and answer session, where high officials of leading US companies like chevron, Boeing, Conocophillips took part.

The briefing was attended by US government officials, business executives, congressional staffs, academics, journalists and Bangladesh Embassy officials, the message added.

Seems the newbees above haven't quite gotten the hang of this yet.

A valid e-mail verification is already required to upload a post. I'm all for requiring a fleshed out profile before someone can make a comment on iReports.

I really want to get a message to Lou Dobbs, Why isn't anyone talking about insurance companies.  My husband is part time at Home Depot, Inc. and we have Aetna Medical insurance.  We were just approved for state medical and Aetna will NOT let us Cancel his medical.  How is this so... he makes $800.00 a month, Aetna takes $575.00 a month.  He brings HOME $225.00 a month!!!

Here is my issue, insurance companies can cancel you at anytime, they can raise premiums, they can refuse to let you CANCEL?  Then they can deny coverage on many items.  WHO IS MONITORING THIS SYSTEM.  WE ARE PAYING FOR SOMETHING THAT MIGHT HAPPEN WITH INSURANCE, THEN THEY DENY COVERAGE WHEN YOU NEED IT!

I am new at blogging, please pass this on to Lou Dobbs!!!!

I am currently a NYC teacher.  We are feeling the economic crisis.  I was ecstatic the minute congress wanted to help the education system.  But it is unfortunante that congress cut this bill to help our schools.  If congress were to help the education system with money it is a direct stimulus to teachers who will be laid off.  The republicans seem not to care about people that are getting paid 65,000 or less.

I'm a newbie, so bear with me.

I have been working for the same company for 13 years.  I am currently making $7.76 an hour.  The company I work for is a non-profit that has been in business since the early 20's.  I just found out last year that the CEO of this company is making $168,000 a year. (Bonuses not included.)  The mission of this Agency is to help people to help themselves thru the "Power of Work".  Basically what this Agency does is to keep people in poverty.  Recently big company CEO's have been called to account for the taxpayers money they have gotten.  What about the CEO's of non- profits that have been receiving taxpayers money for years under the guise of "doing good"

Stretching beyond limits – going the extra mile

Sometimes you are so hell bent upon making a difference and so sure of your motives that you are ready to bet your life on them. With a deep desire of helping my countrymen and women, by providing a dependable support system to the veterans I desire to give back something in lieu of so much that I got from my country and from the community.  Just to keep things in perspective I would like to state at the outset that I am a disabled veteran and the path I am embarking upon in order to help you may lead to loss of my 100% veteran disability benefits and pay, but still I have already started making long strides on that path. But this is not the right time to talk about personal hardships.

Dear friends, our country is in a deep crisis; we are fighting a war against terrorism and a war against an unprecedented economic meltdown. Families are being shattered, jobs are being lost, freedom is being restrained and businesses are being shut down. The horizon continuously seems to be bringing upon our skies the dark clouds of uncertainty and gloom. Fortunately we have the intellectual and physical ability to counter these adverse circumstances as we have been countering our enemies with unshakable resolve. We just need some means, we just need some directions, and I have been spending considerable amount of time devising those means and figuring out the directions. With all this wealth of information and knowledge that I have gained I want to help you, even at the cost of losing my veteran disability benefits and pay.

The Internet has immense potential.  Even when more than 90% of average American households are connected to the World Wide Web the online economy is still at a nascent stage.  So much is being achieved and so much more can be achieved provided we can all come together and work jointly, made possible by this miraculous state of connectivity we have been blessed with.  It is this connectivity that I want to use in order to reach out to you and extend a helping hand and join hands with those who want to come along and help the others. I have great ideas that I am going to share with you on this blog.  In fact the TV promos of those ideas have already been broadcast during the Larry King, Anderson Cooper 360, and on other networks with high views, which basically establishes the authenticity, verification and the power of the idea. Furthermore is it wrong to help when asked too.

Interested to know what I'm talking about?  Stay tuned to this blog and website verifiedsupporter.com and or by e-mail.  Let us come together and change things for better.

I am one of the people that would prefer not to post my photo.

There are a lot of very legitimate reason's why some one might not want to do that.

I would like more people to use a personal avatar though, it makes it much easier to follow their comments and find their posts.

First i didn't wanna destroy the i - reporters party.

Happy Birth baby.

i have a question.

just by ignorence.

Can we make the nuclear energy human?

Can we use it at last as energy for the airplanes

and make our life easier?

fight the economic boredom by working with a plan?

can we expect miracles in our life

like flying cars with atomic energy using?

fix our factories and such?

what you think?

i think i can start.

Thank God!

I cannot begin to tell you how frustrating it is to interact with people you cannot see, and those that have an unprocessed biography.  It has been through my experience that some people use this as a cover to harrass productive Ireporters.  It is my hope that the abolition of the blank avatar will weed out those individuals that seek to act their shoe size instead of their age.  Also, I would like to see all incoming Ireporters contribute something more than just commentary on others post.  Before anyone is declared a superstar, they should possess a certain amount of man hours on the site and upload a minimum of at least five stories before being recognized as a SuperStar!  That is my take.  Others may feel the same or have a greater concern than that of my self.  Also, bring back gvscmr!  I can truly identify with the frustrations he has experienced with personalities that seek to be deleterious to other Ireporters in an effort to have them thrown off of the Site!  That Sucks, and I hate it!  I report is an ingenious way for people to interact around the world.  However, there are those that seek to be anything but a productive, quality neighbor, in the ireport community.  To All Readers:  Ireport is a community of individuals that comprise certain neighborhoods of ireporters that interact on a regular basis.  When some one refuses to act accordingly, like any neighborhood, your name gets passed aroung and then the perpetrator is castigated and excoriated by the members of that respective community and rightly so!  Let's keep Ireport clean and transparant for all.  No more alias's!

Hello, To all. I would like to give you some very good advice. Please stop crying over spilled milk for God’s sake. I am so sick of turning on the T.V. only to see how black Americans are so mistreated. White people alive today do not want to hear about how bad you have it in this country anymore please. You say that we are racist but we do not separate ourselves from you anymore but you seem to be segregating  yourselves  from us all the time. We do not have a white only college fund program but you do. We do not have a white only music T.V. station but you do. We do not have a white history only month as well but you do.   If we did that you would call it racist. If you ever want to truly move on and live with love in your hearts and not continue to blame modern white Americans for your troubles anymore than I believe only then will you the black Americans and I call you black Americans because you are not African you are American that statement really bothers me when I hear it you know why because it is not true. You are black Americans that is it unless you are proud of the way the real Africans are treating their own people and if you are truthful about the way they treat each other you would not want to say I am an African American. They rape and steal and kill each other with no law and order at all. How lucky you are to be a part of a great law abiding country as ours. But to hear you all speak you would rather connect yourself with that primitive way of life with a people none of you truly care about anyway because if you did love the  African people the way you say you do why don’t you go and live with them and give them the same great things that America gives to you. And it would be nice to hear just once about how lucky we are to have white people to make and create all of the great and wonderful technology that we are the ones that have created most all of the things you benefit from each and every day. Imagine this world without white people and take all of our contributions out of this world and what do you have then? I don’t think I have to tell you the answer to that do I you know don’t you. So next time you want say how bad you got it remember  how bad you would have it if white people never had ever existed. A lot of white people have done so much to try and help you and your African people but I never hear about your organization doing anything for them. When I see groups of people on T.V. trying to help feed and help give a better way of life  it is always white faces on the commercials. Why don’t you take some of your anger towards whites that you have and use it on the African nation that is hurting those poor people that you so proudly call your brothers and sisters. Maybe it is just that you really don’t care about them as much as you try to claim. All you seem to care about is the past.   Please do not take this letter as a hate email because it is not. I want to move past all of this childless behavior and love all people and give thanks to everyone’s contributions. We will never move on until you try to forget about the past. Thank you Tracy Woodby
