A year ago today, iReport.com was born. Happy first, everybody! Today's a special day, of course, but here on Team iReport it feels like we've been celebrating all along the way. Like every time we look up from our computers and see an iReport video on TV that shares an important story with the rest of the world. Or when we spot an iReport photo that takes you right to the heart of the news. Or when we hear an iReporter driving home a point in a discussion on CNN.com Live. We think iReporters make the news richer and more interesting just about every day. But no matter how many times it happens, it's still pretty thrilling to see it in action. And in the spirit of camera-toting iReporters everywhere, we can't help but snap a digital photo every time we see it. So, in tribute to one incredible year, we thought we'd share some of our favorite snapshots. Here's to many, many more.

Happy Birthday ireport. I am new to this so haven't quite figured out how to do a report. There's a developing story in Iowa that is shocking however that needs to be told nationwide.
The state of Texas has been paying private companies $1,000 to take their mentally retarded patients and place them in labor camps in other states. More then 600 people have been sold by Texas.
One such labor camp has operated in Iowa and was closed this past week after discovery that the 37 residents were housed in a building without heat in below zero temperatures. These men have been forced to work in turkey factories for 40 cents per hour and their social security payments have been taken from them.
Iowa Senator Harkin said, "its pretty close to slavery".

Governmentneeds Overhuled
"Credit Card Holder Bill of rights" I so agree that something needs to be done. Especially when our own government passes a bailout program that pays these banks and credit companies for their so called losses due to bad debts. That are not actual losses considering those same banks and credit companies get a tax write off for witting those bad debts off , then the same banks and credit companies turn around and sell those debts to collection agencies, whom in turn contact the debtors and attempt to collect on this same debt that was already compensated by the government bailout. Thus starting the cycle over again for an additional bailout. What many people do not know is that those same banks and credit companies support the lobbies /politicians through donations and contributions. The same individuals for whom voted for this bailout. Welcome to Corporate America and Politics.
As for the comment pertaining to us witting to our local representatives what good would that do. Our local representative could careless. They make well over $100,000 annually, and they will for the rest of their lives. Like they actually care what the working class has to say. I personally believe the government needs to be overhauled. If corporate America has to give up their private jets then those whom serve the country in political positions need to do the same. Those same politicians that receive their political WELFARE check of annual salary for the rest of their life after they are done in office needs to stop. After all part of our nations debt is caused by Senators, Governors, Judges whom are no longer providing public service but tax payers continue to give them their salary for the brief terms that they had served. If but luck has it they passed away, unfortunately their spouses become a burden on our tax payers and they receive that salary the government servants had received.
Perhaps if that issue were resolved our nations debt would be greatly reduced. After all even the working class and military are required to provide at least 15 to 20 years service before they are entitled continued pay called retirement. Should not politicians adhere to the same rules. Even if someone losses their job they can only get unemployment for so long and that is not passed onto the spouse when they die.
Instead of writing to the local representative perhaps those across the nation should write to the president instead and let him know we are tired of the POLITICAL WELFARE of our government and request CHANGE. Is that not what this candidacy was about?

So lets understand my friends we have all read the books of our pass Presidents and pass Political Leaders so lets be REAL, TRUE, CREATIVE to understand the WORLD IS REALITY, REALITY NOT A FAIRYTALE FOR WHAT YOU SOWETH ON 4TH NOVEMBER ALL AMERICAN INNOCENT CHILDREN SHALL REAP SMILE. For remember Senator Barack Obama was made in image and likeness of God. So naturally He Barack shall change the pass to a SECURE FUTURE. Thank you again and please do not take anything personal but accept RELIGIONS HAS CONTROLLED YOUR MIND TO REJECT THE TRUTH. PRESIDENT OBAMA HAS SENT A MESSAGE TO "MAIN" STREET AND WALL STREET THAT HE IS NOT CONCERNED WITH THE WILD DAY TO DAY MARKET GYRATIONS. IF HE TOOK TIME TO ANALYZE THE MARKET'S RESPONSE TO HIS ECONOMIC PLANS HE WOULD SEE THAT THE MARKET HAS SHED ANOTHER 20% SINCE THE NOVEMBER ELECTION. AMERICAN'S INVESTMENTS HAVE DECREASED IN VALUE OVER $9 TRILLION DOLLARS IMPACTING ALMOST ALL ASPECTS OF OUR ECONOMY. INSPITE OF THAT THE PRESIDENT BELIEVES THAT HIGHER TAXES, INCREASED GOVERNMENT SPENDING, AND MORE BIG GOVERNMENT IS THE WAY TO GO. THE "HONEYMOON" IS OVER, IF HE DOESN'T START INSPIRING CONFIDENCE IN OUR FINANCIAL SYSTEM, PRIVATE ENTERPRISE, AND THE FACT THAT YOU CAN'T PUNISH THOSE THAT SUCEED,IN 4 YEARS HE'LL BE IN DIVORCE COURT. I WANT PRESIDENT OBAMA TO SUCCEED! IF HE SUCCEEDS,WE ALL BENEFIT, BUT AGAIN I HAVE TO ASK THE QUESTION, WHY RAISE ANYONES TAXES DURING A RECESSION? THE ANSWER IS TO FUND MORE GOVERNMENTPROGRAMS AT THE EXPENSE OF THOSE THAT HAVE THE ABILITY TO SUCCEED ON THEIR OWN. WE NEED TO WAKE UP AND REALIZE THAT GOVERNMENT IS NOT THE ANSWER TO OUR PROBLEMS. THE WORLD LOOKED TO US TO PUT OBAMA IN OFFICE, NOW THEY ARE LOOKING TO AMERICA FOR LEADERSHIP IN THIS GLOBAL FINANCIAL CRISIS AS ARE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. THE "MAJORITY" OF AMERICAN'S SAY THEY TRUST THE PRESIDENT, YET HE DOESN'T TRUST THAT AMERICANS CAN SUCCEED WITHOUT MASSIVE GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE. THERE IN LIES THE PROBLEM.
Everybody was crying for health care , now what? What is the problem you asked for it,to get the health care everybody is going to pay for that health care if it passes. The white house has no money to fund it
Thats what people wanted just thats want Obama is doing, its up to people to undo that plan
