I saw your report today on the pandemic of Domestic Violence. I noticed that one viewer ( and more than likely more commented) that something needs to be done about the Domestic Violence situation in America. We are a great country and much needs to be done. We  are Lobbying and  platforming for a National database and tougher sentences (for Domestic Violence and Sex Crimes Against Women Offenders). 'The National Declaration for Domestic Violence Offenders Bill' (The NDDVO Bill), calls for tougher sentences for even first time offenders. We as a country watch in horror and disbelief as much of this Pandemic is being swept under the 'rug.'

We here are deeply saddened EVERY time we see a woman with a black eyes or hear of cases such as Davon Crawford who brutally  and mercilessly executed his new wife and sister-in-law and his wife's children, then killed himself. It take me back to the Summer of 1999 watching the coverage of the murder of Deleane Briskey (33) who along with her sister (37) and four children (ages 15, 16, 13, 9) were systematically executed in their Atlanta Adamsville home by Cyrano Marks who also killed himself. Leaving a lone survivor (Briskey's 11 y.o son) who hid in the closet for eight hours fearing for his life long after the shots had stopped designating in his ears. Having to come out and walk all over the carnage of his beloved mother, aunt and siblings to ask a neighbor to call for help. I do not believe that lawmakers understand that sometimes ONE TIME may be all that a woman (and/or her children) may get. That is why I asking everyone to go to NDDVO.INFO and read it in it's entirety. There is a wealth of information there  and the warning signs direct from the American Medical Association that women very much need to pay attention to. In addition, you can see how women around the world are being exploited. Our mission is clear,create a database, then lawmakers,make sure that first time offenders are not given light sentences so they can then re-offend (be it domestic violence against women or sex crimes against women). When passed into law The NDDVO Bill,a National Bill will serve to save millions, millions of hearts, minds and souls of potential victims and protect those that can't seem to find their way out.

Whether celebrities or no one knows your name, we are working hard to make life better for  victims of Domestic Violence. Already, in the state of Georgia

Thanks David, it's appreciated....the "OVER-SIGHT!" of the ireport community....LOL!...truthly speaking, it's shameful that adults would need such monitoring of their behavior....but thanks again.

I wonder if anyone has reported to CNN or President Obama that the laws of supply and demand are here at work? The market is filled with workers now eager to start different jobs even if that job pays less money. Jobs that are currently overseas may soon find themselves coming back to the USA due to the higher cost of employing them overseas. New businesses will find it is a hirer's market because they can hire employees for less money.

Thank you David for not changing the rules. I have no problem with enforcement if someone oversteps. Warnings are nice. I'm glad that the integrity of ireports will not be compromised because of protests from ireporters who feel you should censor strong opinion and inflammatory language. I like strong opinion and will challenge it with my own, or support it if I agree. I have extreme opinions but choose to be civil as long as those opposed are rational. If I oppose someone, I might poke fun, or counter them with strong language. They shouldn't post if they can't take it. I have rarely felt offended by comments on my posts, despite posting about controversial topics. I choose not to be offended and look at it as an opportunity to debate, or have fun if that doesn't work.

The discussion went pretty well. I like that some steps will be taken without taking away the spirit of ireports. To me name calling and inflammatory language, swearing racial slurs are not something to be proud of and with so many differences of opinion on ireport and in life..we tend to tolerate this kind of behaviour. At a job the type of behaviour displayed on this site by some ireporters would not be tolerated and people would lose their jobs! Approprite and Unappropriate...we as adults should know the difference and at least have enough respect if we agree to disagree to walk away with some dignity..It's a great venue for exchanging a lot of information...hope for all good things to come in the future...thanks David

Everyone seems to be upset with Rihanna for going back to Chris Brown. What everyone is forgetting is that going back is the normal cycle for women in abusive situations. Chris has already put the fear of God in Rihanna from the first beating. How do we know that he has not threatened to kill her if she does anything more against him? We hear news reports everyday about women who take action against abusive mates, boyfriends, etc. and they still are killed or maimed in retaliation.

abusive behavior is the thing now a days,i remember the first time it came clear to me that it was comming into fashion,i was watching don rickles doing a stand up on tv back in the 60's,he was insulting so many and getting laughs,and it started happening with the jokes being told by friends and relation's and so the fad was created, i didnt think it would keep going i thought it would fade because of its bad taste,but you never know where something like that is heading,but in order to get rid of it,you will have to take away alot of peoples opions,and in doing so,you will lose your site of the real people and there problems.

I had to ruin my 700 credit score on purpose to get a little help. I wasn’t behind on my mortgage and I paid my credit card bills. I didn’t have enough debt to qualify for any help! I owned my starter home for ten years before moving up and was ready to sell my home to get the new one. But a mortgage broker told me it would be in my best interest to keep my old home and rent it out because property was a good investment. He told me to get a interest only on it to bring down the payments (had a 30yr 5.0 rate) for 5 yrs then I could refinance or sell if I still wanted too. So after three years I wanted to refinance, and take out 20.000 equity to pay off some debt and start a project only to get denied, so I went to the home I live in and was denied! That’s how I knew I was in trouble and was going to lose everything I worked for my entire life. No one would refinance me. My home went from 1,015 a month to 22,000 a month and my rental went from 650.00 to 1,115 a month! And everyone keeps saying I wasn’t responsible! I had a 740 credit score, was never a debtor and trusted a realtor! So in order to get help I had to stop paying my bills, it killed me! Every call and letter I got from collectors. I had to max out cards on purpose to qualify and now it’s over and I still have too high of payments (Froze on my home, but not on rental) and a bankruptcy on my credit. The funny thing is I WOULD HAVE SOLD THE STUPID HOUSES and cut my losses if I could have. No one would help. So now we have government help and I don’t qualify because I’m bank rupt.

Wow, I love this statement,$ 20 would have saved two lives. Ford Motor Company may not need a rescue, but all the people who’s houses and cars have burned up sure do! Many people have been ‘literally’burned alive by defctive ford products, and the families that were loyal Ford Motor Company consumers, appear to be the last concern on Ford’s list. It goes back to the old saying ” when times get hard you find out who your true friends are”. Ford has not been a very good friend, to me or the other families that have lost loved ones. A Good Friend, or a Good Company would not let the consumer drive around with ticking time bombs under their hood. A good company would own -up to all it’s mistakes financial and structural decisions are one thing, human life is another.

What is the price, the worth of my son Payton? The 22 year old young man in his prime, that was so proud to be driving a Lincoln. This American Car Company, turned it’s back on this typical all American Young man, by failing to recall the car until 7 months after his being burned beyond recognition. Failing in ever aspect of good Customer Relations ( including Scott Monty on twitter). No flowers, No car-replacement, No payment of funeral cost,and then to have the audacity to deny! To hire attorney’s to fight against the families, as if we are the enemy instead of loyal consumers that have lost children. To Ford’s navigating brilliantly through a very dangerous minefield statement, I agree Ford Motor Company did navigate brilliantly during the cruise control switch recall,doing it in stages as to not scare off the consumer. Unfortunate for the poor loyal consumer that’s car burst into flames because the ‘navigator’ failed to acknowledge (SCDS bomb) under the hood.

***The courts must do thier job and protect women from Chris Brown. If they give him an appropriate sentence and not a slap on the wrist, this will send the message that assault is assault.

Chris needs help and hopefully in jail he will seek the appropriate help needed. His mom allowed him to see abuse as a way of life and even when you say you wont do what your parent does, sometimes it happenns. That is why children who see abuse need to seek counseling to work through issues they dont acknowledge exist in thier lives. Keep him in your prayers, he was a victim as a child.   But what he did still must be punished now!!!!!

I chose to make home payments over an $850 cobra payment. There was no choice. I need the medical plan now I can't wait. Even if i lose my home I would not have been able to afford Cobra. Regular medical insurance is also very expensive, but i am just going to get emergency hospital coverage. My husband has high blood pressure and is on medication. He was in the real estate business and has to seek work in another field.

Losing my home may be necessary so I am hoping medical will be affordable this year or early next year.

So the public can no longer express their truthful opinion. This will lead to tyranny. It happened before! I have always felt that "If I want your opinion I will give it to you" LOL

Mortgage Crisis Solution—

We all know it the only way we are going to fix the mortgage Crisis is to lower the principle balance on all mortgages across the board. This would create a bottom and give us a starting ground to rebuild our economy and put us all on even ground. The only opposition to this solution are the lending institutions, who have manipulated the system  and have taken our tax money to fuel their own plans and leaving us to suffer.

We need to take control of the situation and come together again as a country and declare a boycott on paying these banks our mortgage payments for the next 3 months or until they collapse or they start lowering our principal balances by a minimum of 20%.

I declare this our duty as citizens of America to take back our country from the banks.

Economic Crisis Problem Finally Solved

CSUB Professor of Economics Mark Evans was quoted as saying, "We are going to have to live with large deficits for a long time, and there is no other way." I disagree with that statement. I believe there is another way out of the Economic Crisis. I have over 40yr of being in the financial world. President Obama and Professor Evans are relying on Keynesian Economics. John Maynard Keynes created these economic policies in the 1930s. Many economist of his time disagreed with him, but it turned out he was correct, in his time, in an inefficient way. His policies, put governments into massive debt, more government programs are created. Over the years, larger and larger governments are developed. His policies work but he did not leave a handbook behind on how to correctly slow down the economy when it is so strong that it is creating an economic crisis. Our economy is in economic crisis. Not from being too strong but from being too weak, after a very strong period.

President Obama is once again applying Keynesian Economics to the problem. Our economy has changed tremendously since the Great Depression. The economy has become so large and electronically sophisticated, that we need new methods of correcting economic crises. People have become more aware of credit use, which expands the money supply without government spending. The Government just has to have the right policies in place at the right time in the economic cycle for the economy to work efficiently. The old ways do not work any more. We have to try something different. What the government is doing is not working!

What is recession? A recession is caused by excessive supply created by over production. Recession is also created by insufficient demand because of insufficient available cash purchasing power. Recession is also the inability or desire of people to obtain credit because of a lack of confidence in the future or it has become too expensive or restrictive. This causes an insufficient amount of money value in the economy, resulting in people not having sufficient cash purchasing power to exchange for new produced value. It feeds upon itself further decreasing economic activity every time some one loses their job. The idea is to increase economic activity so people can go back to work and take care of themselves and their families, increasing their purchasing power there-by increasing demand. A majority of Americans enjoy their freedom and want to earn a living without government interference. If you are going to say people abused the credit system. I agree with you. A home should be valued for the protection it gives you from the weather and the security it gives your family. 

I have developed new policies that correct economic crisis, such as recessions, inflation, and depressions, in a more efficient way. My desire would be for you to read the Alternative Economic Stimulus Plan. It is not over a 1000 pages like President Obama’s Economic Recovery is. The value of our homes has been the backbone of our money supply. If you presently owe more than your home is worth the vultures are circling. The bankers and investors servicing your loan want you to make payments on a loan that may be more than what your home will sell for. The vultures are waiting until you default on your loan, to pick the economy’s bones clean. The housing bubble has burst and prices are coming down. This has led to federal action to stabilize and re-inflate the housing market.

The government (your representatives in Washington) should change the tax policy for bank business losses, so banks are motivated to lower the principle balance of your loan. We should support President Obama as he lowers interest rates and pays banks or investors one-half of the amount that is forgiven on each home loan. If interest rates are lowered low enough, the mortgage reduction policy is the only part of his plan we may need. We may not need that policy either if the banks and investors come to realize that marking down the mortgage is in their best interest, tax and capital wise.

Let me explain the capital advantage. When a bank has a non-performing asset the value of the asset decreases more than if the bank discounts the mortgage. Off topic here, I want to talk to all the people who are critisizing President Obama about the economy and his stimulis bill. Most of these people watched former President Bush who took this country into the graveyard for eight years of economic mess and they are blaming Obama who has been a President for only 2 months? GIME ME A BREAK. Any sensible person should know that it takes money to make one, so why is the president having such a hard time getting this money to start buildng the mess that Bush left American people.. If Rush lumbach could do better, he should had run for the election. All  that I'm asking is for people to give hime time to fix this mess.

I don't think market is as bad as it looks. It is a perception created because of the stocks that is bringing our economy down. I think SEC shoould consider revamping the indices to exclude stocks that have received fedral bailout money.

I think if people would step up the level of thier I-Reports and follow the guidelines which is Suggested for a "Good Story".

There would be less people being Critical of other people's work.  And then less complaining to David.  If people are wasting other people's time with stuff which belongs a MySpace, then a Direct Negative commet is called for.
