The latest and greatest on CNN iReport, brought to you by Team iReport.
Thanks again to everyone who attended yesterday's roundtable discussion . We found the conversation very constructive and enlightening, and hope you enjoyed it too. There was a lot of discussion about what makes a good iReport and what the editorial team is looking for when we approve stories for CNN.
The iReport Toolkit is a good place to start when looking for tips, but many of you are asking for more. We hear you loud and clear, and -- starting today -- we're going to begin offering tips on the blog by looking at some of your recent iReports. We hope to make this a weekly feature.
Yesterday's discussion was one of the first we'd like to have about improving iReporters' skills and highlighting some of the outstanding submissions on the site. Thank you all for such an inspiring roundtable. Here's to many more!
Katie, how many weeks does an ireporter have to remain in the top 20 percent to earn a Superstar badge?
do you have problems to upload iReports?
my account ( http://www.ireport.com/people/marano ) allows to login, but once I wrote an iReport, the "Submit" key remain "light grey" and did not allow to click on it to submit it
I've sent a mail to contact@ireport.com but I haven't received any answer, so far, while the upload issue still exists
what happens?
what can I do to upload an iReport?
I need it urgently to upload an iReport about the very risky Hubble SM4 that should be launched soon!

Marano, have you put a check in the "I agree to the terms, etc." box?
@alisonv
yes, I've put the check in the "I agree to the terms, etc." box and all other fields
also, I've used two different browsers (Opera and Firefox) to upload an iReport but the problems still remains
this is not my first iReport, I've already uploaded 16 iReports in the past without problems
ireportphoto, I think I can answer your question. It's the the amount of time you've been reporting, it's how many reports, comments you've made on other reports, comments you receive on your reports and ratings. These all combined is how you get the superstar status. It really doesn't take much to get one and there are thousands and thousands of reporters with that superstar status. Hope this helps and welcome to iReport!!
Thanks for your reponse KCRep, love your work!
Opps, I meant to type "it's NOT the amount of time" also how many times your reports are viewed by others.
david turner i had it with the supposed ireporters without a face and without ireports i keep reporting violation to armysoldja for like 2 weeks and still here, when is this going to stop, david i am getting tired of the bullies really and their venom, can you do something please thanks david happy easter larena
@Ireportphoto KCRep answered your question pretty well. Like she said, it's not the amount of time you've been on the site, but how active a user you are. The number of comments, page views, whether you've earned the "On CNN" stamp, etc. play a role in the Superstar status.
@marano I'm not sure what's wrong. Users came across the problem of trying to upload iReports and getting the same gray button using Internet Explorer, but that's been fixed. I'll mention it to our technical team and see if they have any advice.
@marano Adding on to Katie's reply, yes, on Thursday, a problem with the Submit button staying gray was fixed. If you still have a problem with it, please let us know.
