The latest and greatest on CNN iReport, brought to you by Team iReport.
Team iReport just learned that CNN.com has won the Edward R. Murrow Award for best broadcast-affiliated website. That's a huge honor, but we're even more thilled with what the judges had to say:
“This is what a news Web site should be. Depth of content. Ease of navigation. User-generated content made easy, allowing news consumers to participate in the process. Lots of interactivity. This site warrants a home page landing because of the volume of information it provides.”
In other words, iReporters rock!
We think it's pretty cool that your contributions to CNN's newsgathering were specifically referenced by the judges handing out one of electronic journalism's highest honors.
Just another example of how your amazing iReports continue to make CNN.com a great place to get and interact with the news. So hats off to you, iReporters, and thank you for being such a significant part of CNN.
YAY! Congrats! :)
Excellent news! :)
I think it would be a great tribute to Michael Jackson to have his "original cast" from "Thriller" do their dance in full outfit and then to do the dance again in there regular clothes.. just knowing that they are the original cast would be so cool! Maybe at the Apollo., or some other large venue so people could watch and join in. Thanks for listening! Martha from California
Congrats Team!
My deepest condolonces to the Jackson Family I pray that Jesus Christ will comfort them during a hard time like this and give them the peace that surpasses all understanding. I writing because Michaels funeral should at least try to accommodate many people like at a stadium and he can have a great viewing and many people can give their condolonces. A Stadium A football field would be the best place to accommodate a tremendous huge crowd.
Wow!
Tremendous honor. I am glad to be an ireporter and part of the CNN family in this small way
Congratulation everyone!
Mic Means different things to different people, for Me I will always remember Mic as the only Musician that both Black and White agrees that he is the King of Pop. RIP
First off I wanna say that Michael Jackson was my hero...his music has changed my life. He will be truly missed an his music will live on forever cause I'll never let his legacy die. I can't believe he is dead.
And I don't appreciate all these news shows spinning his death around. We need to be honoring this man. He has done show much for music an the world. And not throwing dirt on his name when he is not here to defend himself. This is making me sick! If he doesn't owe you money personally then don't worry bout how much money he has. He obviously has more than you'll ever have an that's all you need to know. And if the were really concerned bout those kids the media wouldn't be tearing down their fathers name an bringing out the negative.
Michael said in he's will that he wanted his kids with his mother end of story. If Debbie Rowe really wanted those kids she should of been in their life a long time ago.
Its disgusting that showbiz tonight can ask the question "Who's death was bigger, Princess Diana or Michael Jackson", how low can you get. These Iconic people are people they are someone father an mother, someones daughter an son. Their deaths mean something to the people that knew an loved them as people. The media has no right to ask who's death was bigger.
I think people should be celebrating an honoring his life an not trying to profit on this mans death. Its so sad that United States obsession with mans life has followed him to the grave. Leave this man alone an his family, let them morn. Its so disrespectful
what the media is doing.
And in closing no one will truly know what was in this man head but we do know what was in his heart and that was music. So let celebrate the legacy he left behind.

Great news. Congrats to what is a great team.
CNN wins the Edward R. Murrow Award, and through transitive property, I won the Edward R. Murrow Award.
I am so happy, and I'd like to thank CNN for making this possible.
I do believe Michael Jackson has been taking drugs to get sleep. With society, fans, commitments, pressure, family and friends he was tired. I don’t think he was doing it to hurt himself; he was tired and needed sleep. Sleep is the only peace a person has in life to deal with our daily lives. "NOT DEATH" Once that since of peace is established he would be able to function. That’s why you see the mental, medical ups and down in his life. Some days he looks so energetic and then there are days he looks weak and tired. Yes, I do believe a person would pay big to get what he needs so desperately and that is a since of peace (Sleep).
In my life I can vouch for that. I’ve had a lot of trauma in my life. There are a lot of days that all I want to do is sleep. Not to hurt myself; just a since of peace. I have taken a lot of over counter sleep aids, I’ve lied to physicians to get drugs, ask friends and family for their drugs just to get what I need. I’m not in the financial position to purchase drugs but if I could I would. It’s not suicidal intentions, but that since of peace: sleep.
I grew up with Michael. I’m 51yrs old. I’ve followed him all my life. Not being famous or having money, I know what he was feeling and going thought. He was just trying to keep everyone happy and find peace within himself even though it cost his life.
RIP
MICHAEL
