How can I get the word out that cities in the southern part of the country like Jacmel, were hit hard and need help. They are running out of food and water. How about some supply drops there. They also have a seaport- lets send some ships there.
My name is Safire Danastor. My Uncle Charlotin Danastor is trapped inside of a church across from his home with about 100 people, over 50 of them are hurt. They have not eaten or recieved medical care in four days. Charlotin's cell number is 3-929-3406. The address is Rue LaMartiniere Impasse Brisson House #3. The church is located across the street.
Thank You
I am a Registered Nurse with OR, Trauma, and Intravenous Nursing experience. I have a valid passport and recent international travel that included many immunizations. How can i help? My husband and I have contributed financially and we are praying constantly. Please let me know what organizations are bringing in nurses to help. Thank you and God speed to all those in Haiti.
I think that maybe they could set something up that people that dont realy have money now could give something out of their Income Tax Return because it is tax season.
DONT'T GIVE MONEY OUT TO HAITIAN GOVERNMENT BECAUSE IT WILL NEVER GET TO THE HAITIAN PEOPLE. US GOVERNMENT SHOULD PUT SOMEBODY IN CHARGE TO MANAGE ALL THE DONATIONS. IF PREVAL GET ALL THOSE FUNDS HE WON'T EVER USE IT FOR THE COUNTRY OR FOR THE GOODS OF THE PEOPLE. HE WILL SAVE THAT MONEY AND LEAVE WHEN HIS TERM IS END. LAST TIME THEY GAVE HIM MONEY FOR HAITI, NOTHING EVER DONE IN THE COUNTRY.
I honestly can not see why we can not have all the cruse ships go down there to give them housing communications showers and food hospitles and airconditioning as well as order for getting and sharing information and they can clean up and eat and register and have good comunication. to start a good work and rescure plan.
you would have a sence of calm and they would not have to worry about more aftershocks. and the ships have complete comunication and self power for a little about of time

MY WIFE AND I WERE CURIOUSLY WONDERING, WITH THE WAR IN IRAQ, AFGANISTAN, AND THE PLACEMENT OF OUR TROOPS AND RESOURCES SCATTERED ALL ACROSS THE GLOBE. OUR QUESTION IS : NOW THAT WE ARE DOING OUR BEST FOR THE POOR CITIZENS OF HAITI. WITH THE INCLUSION OF MORE TROOPS SHIPS, PLANES, EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES, AND MONEY. WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF AL QUEDA PERSEIVES THAT WE ARE STRETCHED THIN AND HAVE BECOME WEAK, AND ATTEMPT TO USE THIS TRAGIC TIME, AS AN OPPURTUNITY, TO ATTACK OUR HOMELAND?
WILL THE GOV'T BE ABLE TO SUPPLY THE HELP AND RESOURCES FOR THEIR OWN AMERICAN CITIZENS. OR WILL THE WORLD COME TOGETHER FOR AMERICA AS THEY ARE FOR THE HAITIANS. WE CAN ONLY HOPE THAT THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN. AND THAT WE WILL DEFEAT OUR ENEMIES MORE SWIFTLY THAN WE HAVE.
I know this is a crazy time for all of us, but I'm trying everything.
My family received a phone call from a women trapped at the following location.
UNI Bank at Bourdon
Her name is Christina Legagneur.
Her phone number is 011 509 251 951 27 or 350 460 08
She is alive.
If there is anything you can do, I would appreciate it greatly!
Thank you!
I think the best thing for Haiti is to move the capital some where else. Hait has so many empty areas that can be built. The people need to be encouraged to move to another area of Haiti. The people should be seperated in to groups like infants, teanagers, elderly, etc so that the chaos part of the situation can be better handled. Haiti has many great areas. People need to open up their eyes and see.
CNN is doing a great job of coverage, and I wanted people to see before pics of Haiti, before the tragedy struck.

Please enjoy the paradise that Haiti was and will be again.
Did you that the Haiti Earthquake was prophesied by Dr. Owuor while he was in the Dominican Republic on November 23rd 2009. He said that there is a very big earthquake coming to the Hispaniola island. He also prophesied the Hurricane Katrina, Lake Malawi Quake, The deadly Asian Tsunami, the Pakistani quake, the Afghanistani quake etc. Please visit www.repentandpreparetheway.org or click on Haiti Prophecy link or click on this linkhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwmi7Tj2Z0M.
Watching the coverage over the past few days, I have had the same suggestion as "hikerbiker", as I just read his post.
Why can't cruise companies be docked in/around the Port-au-Prince harbor, or even in the Dominican Republic? It seems like a smart option, and great PR for the huge Cruise corporations. I am sure these ships would already be there if Bill Clinton suggested it.
Also, if Sanjay Gupta arrived in Haiti with Anderson Cooper- much earlier than other teams/doctors- why is he spending so much time reporting as opposed to actually attending patients in dire need? Let Anderson Cooper do the tours of the make shift hospitals. We all know they have limited medical supplies, so why did you not have a load on hand?
Pull troops out of Afghanistan and put them to work rebuilding Haiti, where the people want the help, and are more than willing to create change. Haitians do not deserve this life- let this be the catalyst for a better future.
I have a request to see if there is any way someone can get aid to an orphange that I've worked with...it is called: Maison des Enfants de Dieu in the Delmas area. We got word yesterday that they have no aid (water/food) and the 120+ children are suffering. One of the Nanny's was also killed. I can give details but don't want to post it here. The orphange is sponsored by For His Glory Adoption Outreach. Please contact me if there is anyway someone can check on them, get them aid, etc! Thanks!!!
brighteyes75,
In defense of Dr. Gupta, you need to watch all the videos before you judge. He is doing a valuable service by reporting, and he is also helping when he can. He has a medical bag, but the man isn't a walking hospital.
Did you see the CNN video where he was abandoned at a tent hospital when all the U.N. doctors and nurses were ordered to leave for security reasons. He stayed with those patients by himself, some of the patients had just been operated on.
My prayer is that this tragic situation will be the beginning of a new Haiti. One that will thrive and prosper. The Haitians are truly beautiful people, and they don't deserve any of this pain and hardship.
I want to the report in Haiti under rebels of Carribean Market "Delmas 95" by the freezers a man name Adolpho Patro is trapped loosing a lot of blood. Please try to help.
Thanks to all the help from not only the ireporters, but all the citizens of the world as well. The Red Cross is mounting the largest ever releif effort. Hang on, "Massive" help is on the way.
I just want to comment on the interview of the BBC with the Haitian Ambassador to the U.S.A. when the BBC broadcaster asked the Haitian Ambassador if the U.S.A were in control of Haiti. The Ambassador replied and I quote:"Correction, the U.S.A is not in control but only we assigned the control of the Airport because the control tower had collapsed........." End of quote.
I just want to say to the Ambassador that he cared to say that U.S.A is not in control of Haiti but the Haitian government is in control! God have mercy. The Mr.Ambassador should admit that he and his government are total failures and did not have any infastructure. The government of Haiti is corrupted and the whole population were suffering before the disaster. The Mr.Ambassador should THANK the U.S.A who is in control of Haiti plus all the other countries who are working in tandem with the U.S.A to save lives and give food and medicine to the Haitian people.I believe that the corrupted government of Haiti shoul resign and let the U.S.A, UN to run the country until a new government is formed.Enough is enough to the corrupted governments. People are dying and the Mr.Ambassador is talking about control.
Does Elizabeth Cohen- doing medical recon- know that the Israeli surgical hospital was up and running by 8pm last night? I would love to hear that some of the patients that were waiting in triage needed surgery- no location reported on that- but other news found Israeli hospital up and doing surgery & labor/delivery. Good luck!
I wish to thank Dr. Gupta for all he has done and continues to do Haiti. The night doctor Gupta and the camera men stayed at the makeshift hospital was what in my eyes defined a doctor, "to do no harm". I do understand the others doctors did not want to leave and did so for security purposes. But the fact of the matter is Dr. Gupta was left alone with some critically injured patients. He was left in a position which I hope he and others will never have to experience again! He is hero along with his staff and they all should receive purple hearts for their bravery.
Another issue which should be addressed is mental health support for the journalists and their staff as they return to the states. I hope and encourage CNN and other news stations to make this available. When soldiers return they receive counseling. No one can be exposed to this amount of emotional and physical pain and NOT be affected. PTSD can be valid consequence when exposed to this stress.
As I am watching the news I am beginning to see the journalist and staff becoming worn down which is the norm after seeing and being exposed to emotions and physical pain firsthand.
CNN and other news teams, please make sure there is support for your staff. One session with a mental health professional can save a person a lot of emotional and spiritual pain that they can not express. One can not come back without being affected in some way.

Last comment. It would be nice to see donations from the banks that received those bonuses they were never paid back. The banks need to be accountable and this is the time to come to the plate.

Please, Presidents Obama,Clinton, and Bush do not give, send any money to Haitian Government or some other fake organizations. Money will not be used to rebuild the country. Too much Corruptions to trust Haitian government and some other false organizations with money. It is sad to say but it is the reality. 197 Millions US dollars went to private accounts last years; money that supposed to help the victims of Hurricane desaster....Please my good presidents, help us rebuild the country, but keep Preval administration away from Money. Help us to have a good equiped fire fighters department in Haiti. God blesses USA!
HI Please help Marie Celestine find her sister Yolande Celestine from sabsaitian if anyone has seen or made contact with her please let us know
A GREAT LOGISTICS IDEA for a Haitian supply line. Pay attention to the 90 acre Canaan Orphanage just north of PaP. We are a tiny ministry with good plan.
Logistics are complicated even for large organizations. I have another idea. Canaan Orphanage is located outside of Port au Prince to the north; far enough away from the chaos, yet close enough to be used as a supply line. They received no damage and are ready to be set up as a way point for aid. Canaan Orphanage is a 90 acre complex with about 120 people living there. They have plenty of space and plenty of young healthy volunteers to work at saving lives. Our home based ministry, Never Thirst Again has partnered with another home based ministry called Compassion Air and Canaan Orphanage to set up a supply line. That is TWO planes at our disposal to fill and send supplies, and fly back eligible orphans whose paperwork was temporarily sped up. As we gain momentum we will have a better idea of what supplies are most urgently needed. The founder of Canaan Orphanage was in the Dominican Republic and should be arriving in Haiti soon. After that, this 3 ministry partnership will be perfectly situated to save lives. Please call me, Jim Seidel at 305-877-4494. We need people to jump on board and partner with us on this idea

Dr. Gupta,I, so proud of him! he never left no matter what anyone says...i, was a nurse..we took a oath to help no matter what.also i, could see he would do it even with out a oath.I, am so proud of our reporters, they have gave their own food and muscles to help...also i, don't know if you hear i, saw it on fox...a israeli dr. gave his own blood to save a baby,i, think was like 3 days so old...at their little hospitol..he just happen to have the babys same blood type...these dr. go the extra mile.I, am also proud of everyone that has gone the extra mile to get those out from under the rubble.I, watch the haitian men going the extra mile, even after what they just went through. They just want to be treated with diginty.Just want food, water and meds.Just simple things, that us in good nations take for granted...I, was in hugo the hurricane that hit charleton s.c. usa,I,lost my home..I, know what it was like..But,i slept in a shelter, ontil we got help.they don't have it there. We weren't prepared here neither....These are lesson we can learn from..Thats why i, joined redcross for 8 yrs.I,worked on national team..please give to REDCROSS...WE REALLY DO HELP THE PEOPLE IN NEED...I,was in charge at that time for shelter mangement..It can be hard to find the rgt kind of shelter that is safe after a disaster, ontil help comes. My heart and prayers go out to all of haiti and to venz....just heard they had a earthquake5.9....Since I, have lost everything and worked with REDCROSS,YOU KNOW WHY NOW I,REPORT ON THINGS AND ASK CERTAIN QUESTIONS..ITS MT INSECT AND TRAINING CAUSES THIS..PLEASE DON'T SHOOT THE MESSAGERS ALL MESSAGERS!
As a Haitian American, I want to give a special thank you to CNN, especially Anderson Cooper, Dr. Sanjay Gupta and many others for all your help and supportS. Your contribution toward the Haitian community in Haiti is greatly appreciated. May God bless you all and keep up the good work. Also, I would like to say thank you to every country that has shown and proven their support toward Haiti. THERE ARE NO REAL WORDS THAT CAN EXPRESS THE GRATITUDE HOW HELPFUL EVERYONE HAS BEEN TOWARD HAITI DEVASTED EARTHQUAKE. MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL. GOD IS ABLE. PLEASE CONTINUE TO HELP US AND KEEP US IN PRAYERS.
I wanted to air another point of view. Read what follows and, after reading the facts, ask yourself, "What should be done in the light of this information?"

By Bill Quigley. Bill
is Legal Director for the Center for Constitutional Rights and a long-time
Haiti human rights advocate. Quigley77@gmail.com
Why does the US owe Haiti Billions? Colin Powell, former US Secretary of State,
stated his foreign policy view as the “Pottery Barn rule.” That is – “if you break it, you own it.”
The US has worked to break Haiti for over 200 years. We owe Haiti. Not charity. We owe Haiti as a
matter of justice. Reparations. And not the $100 million promised by
President Obama either – that is Powerball money. The US owes Haiti Billions – with a big B.
The US has worked for centuries to break Haiti. The US has used Haiti like a plantation. The US helped bleed the country economically
since it freed itself, repeatedly invaded the country militarily, supported
dictators who abused the people, used the country as a dumping ground for our
own economic advantage, ruined their roads and agriculture, and toppled
popularly elected officials. The US has
even used Haiti like the old plantation owner and slipped over there repeatedly
for sexual recreation.
Here is the briefest history of some of the major US efforts
to break Haiti.
In 1804, when Haiti achieved its freedom from France in the
world’s first successful slave revolution, the United States refused to
recognize the country. The US continued
to refuse recognition to Haiti for 60 more years. Why? Because the US continued to enslave millions of its own citizens and
feared recognizing Haiti would encourage slave revolution in the US.
After the 1804 revolution, Haiti was the subject of a
crippling economic embargo by France and the US. US sanctions
lasted until 1863. France ultimately
used its military power to force Haiti to pay reparations for the slaves who
were freed. The reparations were 150
million francs. (France sold the entire
Louisiana territory to the US for 80 million francs!)
Haiti was forced to borrow money from banks in France and
the US to pay reparations to France. A
major loan from the US to pay off the French was finally paid off in 1947. The current value of the money Haiti was
forced to pay to French and US banks? Over $20 Billion – with a big B.
The US occupied and ruled Haiti by force from 1915 to
1934. President Woodrow Wilson sent
troops to invade in 1915. Revolts by
Haitians were put down by US military – killing over 2000 in one skirmish
alone. For the next nineteen years, the
US controlled customs in Haiti, collected taxes, and ran many governmental
institutions. How many billions were
siphoned off by the US during these 19 years?
From 1957 to 1986 Haiti was forced to live under US backed
dictators “Papa Doc” and “Baby Doc” Duvlaier. The US supported these dictators economically
and militarily because they did what the US wanted and were politically
“anti-communist” - now translatable as
against human rights for their people. Duvalier stole millions from Haiti and ran up hundreds of millions in
debt that Haiti still owes. Ten thousand
Haitians lost their lives. Estimates say
that Haiti owes $1.3 billion in external debt and that 40% of that debt was run
up by the US-backed Duvaliers.
Thirty years ago Haiti imported no rice. Today Haiti imports nearly all its rice. Though Haiti was the sugar growing capital of
the Caribbean, it now imports sugar as well. Why? The US and the US dominated
world financial institutions – the International Monetary Fund and the World
Bank – forced Haiti to open its markets to the world. Then the US dumped millions of tons of US
subsidized rice and sugar into Haiti – undercutting their farmers and ruining
Haitian agriculture. By ruining Haitian
agriculture, the US has forced Haiti into becoming the third largest world
market for US rice. Good for US farmers,
bad for Haiti.
In 2002, the US stopped hundreds of millions of dollars in
loans to Haiti which were to be used for, among other public projects like
education, roads and the wages and training for the police force. These are the same
roads which relief teams are having so much trouble navigating now!
In 2004, the US again destroyed democracy in Haiti when they
supported the coup against Haiti’s elected President Aristide.
Haiti is even used for sexual recreation just like the old
time plantations. Check the news
carefully and you will find numerous stories of abuse of minors by
missionaries, soldiers and charity workers. Plus there are the frequent sexual vacations taken to Haiti by people
from the US and elsewhere. What is owed
for that? What value would you put on it
if it was your sisters and brothers?
US based corporations have for years been teaming up with
Haitian elite to run sweatshops teeming with tens of thousands of Haitians who
earn less than $2 a day.
The Haitian people have resisted the economic and military
power of the US and others ever since their independence. Like all of us, Haitians made their own
mistakes as well. But US power has
forced Haitians to pay great prices – deaths, debt and abuse.
It is time for the people of the US to join with Haitians
and reverse the course of US-Haitian relations.
This brief history shows why the US owes Haiti Billions –
with a big B. This is not charity. This is justice. This is reparations. The current crisis is an opportunity for
people in the US to own up to our country’s history of dominating Haiti and to
make a truly just response.
(For more on the history of exploitation of Haiti by the US
see: Paul Farmer, THE USES OF HAITI; Peter
Hallward, DAMNING THE FLOOD; and Randall Robinson, AN UNBROKEN AGONY).
If you have contacts in the media to get the word to the reilef forces distributing food; or, if you can get to families on Facebook who have friends who own restos in Petion Ville, please tell them to consolodate all feeding efforts by bringing their remaining food and cooknig supplies to Muncheez. The people in Petion Ville are so grateful to find this food aid at Muncheez.food lines there are more patient and less chaotic than downtown. My friend's cousins and their friends do not plan to stop cooking the food until the last crumb is gone.
There are 63 people still alive in Carribean Market. One of the survivors sent a text so we could send out help. PLEASE LET PEOPLE KNOW IN ORDER TO HELP THEM OUT!!! copy and paste this on every Haiti page/group wall you can find!!
please sent a alert..le chef de police est enseveli avec sa famille. tous vivants, sous les décombres de sa maison sur la rue St-Gérard, Carrefour des feuilles .
please do something for them... a Canadian.
I think it is cruel for CNN and other "news" outlets to interview people that are suffering, gather names and stories, and parade them on the programing while talking about their suffering with no aid or the slow response of aid workers and NOT bring them any aid! If you are not going to be part of the solution, do not advertise the problem for your ratings!!
let's switch. let all the haitian's move to the u.s.a and let the law abiding, non drug user, non drinking, law abiding u.s. citizens move to haiti.
It is absolutely essential that the USA and other countries do everything that they can to assist those in trouble in Haiti. In our haste to do this, please, let's remember that there is an opportunity to help that country to rebuild using sustainable materials and technologies that will help them far beyond this immediate crises. The "green" movement can really help with this, helping to specify materials and systems that will reduce reliance on fossil fuels and consumables to help them have something of substance for generations. Let's use this opportunity to help in the best and most sustainable way possible. www.HomeArchitects.com
Thanks for your wonderful coverage CNN.
My aunt's father and mother were crushed under their house, and it is very tragic.
Couple of Questions:
Could we talk a bit more about the fact that the Haitians are peaceful people. What if NYC, the UN or The White House was broken down by an earthquake, don't you think there would be an unprecedented and unstoppable increase of violence looting in the streets? YET all reporters have mentioned how Haiti is relatively quiet, in fact Haitians have demonstrated cooperation and a tremendous amount of resiliency, what does this tell you about Haitians?
They must be one of the most peaceful people the world have ever met aren't they?
I HOPE that what HAITIANS have fought for all their lives will not be taken away from them, lets remember this is the ONLY country in the entire world which was founded by SLAVES! These Slaves Fought non other than the MIGHTY FORCES of Napoleon Bonaparte and tens of thousands of soldiers. Let it be know!
1) What happened to the great work of other nations such as the ICELAND people? Why aren't we hearing about them?
2) I why haven't we already provided water, shelters (camping tents) and Heavy Equipments to lift the debris? There seems to be too much bureaucracy.
3) This country has not experienced Earth Quake for 200 years, Could it be that this is caused by some type of greedy Petroleum excavation somewhere in the ocean close to Haiti
Josué www.forexmercantile.com
to anyone that has a voice in the news media concerning the haiti diaster. The cruise ships are able to get in the area. Pick up all the people that are alive and use the ships as housing, then keep looking for ways to help those that are buried. we can get supplies to haiti much sooner.
From a Bible Stand Point:
How do we explain what happen in Haiti?
Ecclesiastes 9:11
I returned to see under the sun that the swift do not have the race, nor the mighty ones the battle, nor do the wise also have the food, nor do the understanding ones also have the riches, nor do even those having knowledge have the favor; because time and unforeseen occurrence befall them all.
HOW DOES GOD FEEL ABOUT INJUSTICES WE FACE?
In the meantime, how does God feel about what is going on in the world and in your life? Well, the Bible teaches that God is “a lover of justice.” (Psalm 37:28) So he cares deeply about what is right and what is wrong. He hates all kinds of injustice. The Bible says that God “felt hurt at his heart” when badness filled the world in times past. (Genesis 6:5, 6) God has not changed. (Malachi 3:6) He still hates to see the suffering that is taking place worldwide. And God hates to see people suffer. “He cares for you,” the Bible says.—1 Peter 5:7.
How can we be sure that God hates to see suffering? Here is further proof. The Bible teaches that man was made in the image of God. (Genesis 1:26) We thus have good qualities because God has good qualities. For example, does it bother you to see innocent people suffer? If you care about such injustices, be assured that God feels even more strongly about them.
One of the best things about humans is our ability to love. That also reflects God. The Bible teaches that “God is love.” (1 John 4:8) We love because God loves. Would love move you to end the suffering and the injustice you see in the world? If you had the power to do that, would you do it? Of course you would! You can be just as sure that God will end suffering and injustice. The promises mentioned in the preface of this book are not mere dreams or idle hopes. God’s promises are sure to come true! In order to put faith in such promises, though, you need to know more about the God who has made them.

cnn i want to know how we can get food and supplies to petit- goave my home city. my brother told me a lot of people died there, the whole city is stink with the smell of deceased bodies.
Is there a God that would let this happen?
A CNN reporter telling the story of a beautiful child that died in Haiti, asked if she had been forsaken by the God she prayed to. Every time our world is faced with cataclysmic events, people ask why would God let this happen and question if there is in fact a God and what's it all about. You no longer have to rely on faith only in order to believe that there is a God, Heaven and that prayer isn't falling on deaf ears. It doesn't matter if we came from monkeys, fish or aliens. It doesn't matter if you're Buddhist, Catholic, Jewish or whatever.
Science in the last 20 years has been proving the very existence of God and the Heavens. I remember everyone of faith slamming science because for a period of time it seemed as though it had set-out to destroy God. I recently spent a lot of time contemplating my existence; perhaps because of a mid-life crisis. I am blown away by the amount of scientific material I found that is validating God and the Heavens. Maybe one of my past English Professors was right when he said, “there are no more scholars” because I just don't hear too many people talking about the findings of scientists of all disciplines, quantum physics “new physics” and the implications of the findings. Frank Tipler, Ph.D. In The Physics of Immortality, wrote: “Theology is a branch of physics, and physicists can infer by calculation the existence of God.”
The tragedy in Haiti is undoubtedly the most horrific thing many of us have ever witnessed but our ignorance makes this tragedy so much more difficult to comprehend. Since the 17th Century we've tried to make sense out of the world based on the insights of Newton, Descartes and others. God has become a mythological and even a fictional entity to many and the masses are skeptics. If you don't believe that those whom have died in Haiti are in a better place based on faith, then listen to the Modern day scientists for your consolation.
There is too much scientific data to divulge in this letter so here are a couple points to illustrate some findings: Physicists are claiming that we now know of at least 11 dimensions, most of which are unseen by us. There are tiny waves of information that are part of EVERYTHING. These tiny waves make-up nearly 90% of all atoms, and thus, everything in the world is actually connected. Certain insects, animals and some “enlightened” people have been observed to transmit information using these invisible waves. I guess you could say that our world has always had its own “invisible Internet.” We all have our own DNA. DNA tells trillions of cells in your body how to function and holds the “blueprints and building plans for life.” DNA creates our brains; brains that we don't fully understand. The brain has a pineal gland that we don't fully understand. The gland produces DMT for reasons unknown but DMT is known to transport people to unimaginable places. We call 90% of our DNA junk DNA because we don't know what it does but Russian scientists and others have shown us that this junk may hold data storage from the beginning of time and studies prove that DNA can be physically altered by our thoughts, feelings and intentions.
So then, our DNA was created by something or someone undetermined in the beginning of time and continues to carry information from and about its creator and evolves or devolves with each new life. Able to be changed along the way by personal intentions and feelings and thoughts. This includes prayers. This means our prayers can actually manifest visible change. The information can be transmitted using an invisible Internet connected to everything known and unknown. We are all linked by an unseen and spiritual realm that connects us to our creator.
Throughout life, I have been told that God is in me. Well, God is in us, spiritually and physically and God has given us a highway to heaven but for the past 300 years our minds have been fogged by erroneous logic that obscures our view of the road. People have visited “Heaven” for at least 13,000 yrs. through meditation, prayer, trance, entheogens and death. There are countless stories of those that have come back from death and told unimaginable vivid stories and validated a heavenly world. Do you really think they are all liars?
Regardless of your religion, one thing is clear, we all need to pay more attention to nature as it is shown to be linked to all of us. Chief Seattle said, “Man did not weave the web of life—he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.” And we now know that in addition to our actions, our thoughts and emotions can change the physical world. We now have more power to change this world. Positive thinking has new meaning for me. We have a lot more responsibility for what happens in this world and we should not blame God for everything. And since God is in everything and everyone, it means he does not pay favor to certain religions or certain people. “And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and one soul: neither said any of them that aught of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.” (Acts 4:32)
Those that have died have not been forsaken, they have been given a gift of immortality. Haiti needs a common prayer of good from the world. If we all pray together, we could extinguish the firewalls and crash the servers of misery. The people of Haiti that are left behind are suffering and they need our prayers; prayers that actually leave our own minds, and can change our world. I have some faith in science; I believe in God, Heaven and the power of prayer.

As evidenced by the following article, the United States is still exercising the close to 200 year old Monroe Doctrine. We must quit this kind of foreign policy. As in our constitution, all people are equal and all nations of people should be treated equally. Please read the following:
CARICOM BLOCKED
...as US takes control of airport
Rickey Singh Barbados
Sunday, January 17th 2010
http://www.trinidadexpress.com/index.pl/article_news?id=161583443
THE CARIBBEAN Community’s emergency aid mission to Haiti, comprising Heads of
Government and leading technical officials, failed to secure permission Friday
to land at that devastated country’s airport, now under the control of the
United States.
Consequently, the Caricom ’assessment mission’, that was to determine
priority humanitarian needs resulting from the mind-boggling earthquake
disaster of Haiti last Tuesday, had to travel back from Jamaica to their
respective home destinations..
On Friday afternoon the US State Department confirmed signing two ’Memoranda
of Understanding’ with the Government of Haiti that made ’official that the
United Stateas is in charge of all inbound and outbound flights and aid
off-loading...’
Further, according to the agreements signed, US medical personnel ’now have
the authority to operate on Haitian citizens and otherwise render medical
assistance without having to wait for licences from Haiti’s government...’
Prior to the US taking control of Haiti’s airport, a batch of some 30 Cuban
doctors had left Havana, following Wednesday’s earthquake, to join more than
300 of their colleagues who have been working there for more than a year.
Last evening the frustration suffered by the Caricom mission to get landing
permission was expected to be raised in a scheduled meeting at Jamaica’s
Norman Manley International Airport with US Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton.
Jamaica’s Prime Minister Bruce Golding who was making arrangements for the
meeting with Clinton, following her visit earlier in the day to witness the
devastation of the capital Port-au-Prince, said he could not comment on details
to be discussed.
He, however, told this correspondent: ’I appreciate the chaos and confusion
at Haiti’s airport, where there is just one operational runway. But Haiti is
a member of Caricom and we simply have to be facilitated and the truth is,
there is hardly a functioning government in Haiti...’
Asked whether the difficulties encountered by the Caricom mission may be
related to reports that US authorities were not anxious to facilitate landing
of aircraft from Cuba and Venezuela, Prime Minister Golding said he could
’only hope that there is no truth to such immature thinking in the face of
the horrific scale of Haiti’s tragedy...’
Golding, who has lead portfolio responsibility among Caricom leaders for
external economic relations, had a personal first-hand assessment when he flew
to Haiti on Thursday.
A contingent of some 150 members of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF has since
established a camp with medical facilities in the vicinity of Haiti’s
airport.
Ahead of last evening scheduled meeting with Secretary of State Clinton, Prime
Minister Golding had discussed on Friday in Kingston some of the problems to be
overcome at a meeting he held in Kingston on Friday with the Prime Ministers of
Barbados and Dominica and including the Community’s Secretary General..
Among urgent matters to be discussed with Secretary Clinton was to be possible
use of the Norman Manley Airport as a primary hub, given its short distance
from Haiti (45 minutes), for all emergency missions.
The Community’s Secretary General (Edwin Carrington) explained that proper
use of the Norman Manley Airport would be consistent with a decision last week
for Jamaica to serve as the Sub-regional Operational Focal Point (SOFP)
responses to the Haitian humanitarian crisis.

Hello
First I'd like to say thankyou to everyone at CNN for an outstanding job with full coverage on the footage in Haiti. I understand that there are hubs going into port-au-prince and Leogane another city which was badly affected and are also in desperate need for help. I was able to find my aunts and uncle on Thursday alive and lost of few memebers. They lost their homes and are on the streets with no food nor water. I know the main focus is in the capital but can we please sent food and aid to Fontamara 43 in port-au-prince that entire city was badly impacted as well. I spoke to them this morning their so grateful for all your help but are in desperate need for food and aid. Please Please Please send some help.....Thanks in advance.... God Bless America and all the other nations. United the World stands.
My name is Samantha Angrand and I spoke to my uncle this morning from Haiti. He lives in Carrefour and he said that Aid Relief has not yet arrive to that area the little food and water they have are now running extremely low. Tomorrow will make 8 days since the earthquake hit Haiti. Please send aid to Carrefour, Fontamara Haiti.

Dear CNN,
First and foremost I would like to thank you for the relentless coverage of Haiti's tragedy. We really need reporters to put a face on Haiti's pain and you have done so. I have been able to find my siblings and some family members and for that I am greatful. My mothers' hometown of Jacmel has been affected greatly. I have lost a great aunt and we cannot find most of our family there. Jacmel is known for it's artistic feel and wonderfully beautiful beaches. It has been virtually ignored worldover. Please I beg you to shine some light on the plight of Jacmel. We NEED help. There is NO help slatted for Jacmel and we believe that if you highlight it, let people see the travesty then help will come. I understand that many are leaning on your network to do much. I would remind you that to whom much is received much is expected. Please...we need your assistance in this matter. If Jacmel is stablized it can be another resource for the whole of Haiti. Thank you for your help in this matter.
Respectfully
Sharon Fleurant

Has CNN reported from any of these other places that have been effected by this horrible earthquake?

Perez street ( to be precise to the east of the airport) has yet to have seen any humanitarian support people are gathering together can someone please go to the Acadéie Gérard Armand Joseph, where a group of people are desperately waiting for help...They are afraid to go out on the streets! Please can someone anyone please go there...They are thursty and moral is getting low!
It's a school Acadmeie Gérard Armand Joseph in Delmas...
Why is the Government in Haiti not speaking? Why is the US Government not making demands to the Haiti Government? The US gave millions to the Haiti Government for years. Where is that money going? Does the Haiti Government sleep well after they have dinner while its people search for food? Why does the US support the Haiti Government? When will the US president go to Haiti?
My uncle is in Haiti and I have been able to speak with him. However, he has informed me that he is seriously injured and needs some financial assistance. My family and I are ready to send him the money he needs, but we have no idea how to go about sending and getting that money to him. Can you tell us and other families in the same situation how to get dearly needed money and supplies to our families in Haiti?
Len Gengel is sick and disgusting. I can not believe the air time this disguisting man has been getting this past week. How DARE he says every American troop should just search for his daughter and ignore the catastrophe. How dare Wolf Blitzer gave this bipolar man Len Gengel 15 minutes to speak to an American Ambassador. The Ambassador kept saying "As soon as I get off the phone with you I will send more people." But this fat bipolar man kept the ambassador on the phone longer and longer saying how his daughter is the only person who is important in a country that has collapsed from an earthquake.
HI, I have a cousin who's name is Stanica Bigot and her daughter Jenifer is in a location called Delmas 33 Parlais De lart. They have not eatten in 5 days and no water to drink. They are very hungry and people are dying all around them, please see if aid can get to those other areas, Martisan, La Plaine, O Cayes, Jacmel, Leogane...all these areas are affected and the people are crying out for HELP.
Please help at Haitichildren.com Suzi Krebacher will be speaking on CNN tomorrow AM on the morning show discussing the situation at the orphanage and the hospitals abandoned baby unit which she has been contributing to for quite a few years. Obviously the need at this stage is ominous, however Suzi is very well versed on getting things done down there. PLEASE HELP THE ORPHANS
WHY does the news of Israel and the field hospital not catch any news ...
Haiti/Port-au-Prince / Clinic 1/2-mile from airport ("Sonapi Utesa", at #2 National Avenue)
According to Alphonse Edouard, an American citizen and New York City resident, who is visiting Haiti to assist in relief efforts: "...There is a clinic ("Sonaii Utesa" at #2, Natonal Avenue) located less than one-half mile from the Port-au-Prince airport, which has been struggling to aid to the daily patients. Calls and visits to both the UN and U.S. aid offices were ignored. In addition, I have witnessed Peruvian troops struggling to maintain order as casualties mount."

Thumbs up to CNN for their uncompromising reporting and reporting as it is. My heart goes out to all haitians affected directly or indirectly. Anderson for putting down your microphone to help that helpless boy and lots of the amazing reporting you have been doing connecting us so close to Haiti, thank you, God bless you. Dr Sanjay for being there in an extra ordinary way and just giving yourself to the service of the haitian people, God bless you lots . Our prayers are with you, Only God knows why!
I think this earthquake affected not only U.S.A. and other people but mostly the whole world!
Hello CNN team,
On behalf of my family and friends, we would like to thank you for the great work you're doing in Haiti. As Haitians we sincerely appreciate the way you've portrayed our country as a place with issues but very good and hard working people.
If possible, I would only ask that you do a report on the Haitian doctors and nurses helping in Haiti. We appreciate the work of all the outside nations, but there are so many native healthcare professionals that were helping before the quake and are still there helping their fellow countrymen. In addition, I aware of several Haitian-American doctors and nurses who left their respective lives in the US and are now in Haiti helping. Adding this story would really display the true spirit of the Haitian people.
Thanks again for the great work.
CNN team,
Thank you for the amazing work you are doing in Haiti.
Please take a moment to see how these college students are helping

Disease fears in quake-hit Haiti
Medical experts fear the rate of infections could increase among injured survivors Reuters
As a massive international aid effort gathers pace in earthquake-hit Haiti, medicals teams have said they are overwhelmed by the number of casualties and fear the worst is yet to come as infection and disease take hold.
The Caribbean nation of over nine million people was already struggling with increasing Aids infections, as well as outbreaks of tuberculosis and malaria before the quake struck.
Thousands of children were malnourished, hygiene was a daily challenge, and according to experts, the quake may create one of the worst medical disasters.
Haitian officials have said the death toll from Tuesday's magnitude 7.0 quake is likely to be between 100,000 and 200,000, but no one has yet begun to get a count of injuries.

"Many people have suffered multiple fractures and internal injuries. By any stretch of the imagination it is going to be incredibly difficult," Jon Andrus of the Pan American Health Organisation, the regional arm of the World Health Organisation, told Reuters news agency.
"The population in Haiti was already vulnerable and faced enormous health threats."
He said the greatest threats to public health resulted from the scores of people with wounds and injuries caused by collapsing buildings during the quake.
The other threat comes from diseases of insanitation among the makeshift camps that have sprung up for the hundreds of thousands left homeless.

Al Jazeera's Teresa Bo reports from a slum district hit hard by last week's earthquake
"Tetanus, gangrene are immediate threats, as is the spread of measles, germs causing meningitis and other infections with crowding."
Corpses were being burned or dumped in mass graves but Andrus told a news conference on Monday that this was unnecessary and could damage the mental state of survivors.
Doctors working in the capital Port-au-Prince also said that many children, the weak and elderly are at risk of dying unnecessarily from diarrheal disease that could be easily treated with water and rehydration salts.
But logistical problems - including a severe bottleneck at the capital's small airport, the main entry point for aid - have meant that aid supplies are just starting to reach those most in need.
Mass amputations
Jacques Lorblanches, a surgeon sent by the humanitarian group Doctors of the World, told AFP news agency that he had lost count of the number of amputations performed in the past 48 hours in Haiti.

"I have never seen anything like this - infected wounds full of larvae," he said.
"I did my first amputation with three forceps, five scissors and a scalpel, without water, and just a flashlight to illuminate the injury."
From Saturday to Monday, out of 30 operations performed by the French team at the General Hospital in Port au Prince, 28 ended in amputation.
The story was the same elsewhere in the city.
"Of the 48 operations performed over two days, almost all were amputations," said doctor Amit Assa, at another field hospital set up by an Israeli team on the outskirts of the capital.
As victims arrived with gangrenous limbs crushed days ago by concrete walls or metal beams, doctors said it was inevitable that many surgeries would end in amputation.
Meanwhile, many of the wounded have waited for days for treatment, often without even simple painkillers which are also in desperately short supply.
"There is gangrene everywhere and you amputate on the go," said Hans Van Dillen, the head of a Doctors Without Borders (MSF) mission in Haiti.
The group said its staff had been conducting 100 surgeries per day under difficult conditions.
"On day six, you conduct radical surgery. There's nothing more you can do," Van Dillen said.
And with the number of casualties needing immediate treatment increasing rapidly - skull fractures, severe burns, open wounds, "we are completely overwhelmed," he said.

A poem my granddaughter wrote for the folks in Haiti.
We’ll Be There
Life was so happy,
So fun, so fine, so laughy!
But then one day Mother Nature had a rumble.
She got mad and made your city crumble.
But in all your sadness,
Your fears, and your tears,
You found your way to gladness
Because friends were near.
We promised we’d help you,
In all that we could do.
We would never stop,
No! We wouldn’t dare!
We say we care, and
WE WILL BE THERE!
We have you in our prayers. God bless you!

after hearing the story on CNN about the US 7 days to get help to the Haiti earthquake, iam second gesting my backing for government health care. US took 7 days and the reason is no passable roads, only 1 air port, unrest, and the time need to map out a safe way to hand out food and water. this is unacceptable bu the USA government

Witnesses’ relief efforts well under way for victims of earthquake in Haiti
NEW YORK—Jehovah’s Witnesses are actively providing local and international assistance for victims of the massive earthquake that struck Haiti on the evening of January 12, 2010.
In cooperation with local authorities and other relief agencies, the Witnesses organized to help meet the immediate needs of their fellow worshippers and other victims in Haiti and care for them. The Witnesses’ branch office in the Dominican Republic quickly sent six tons of food and medical supplies to the branch office in Haiti. These supplies were received the morning after the disaster. Witnesses at the Haiti branch office then prepared 700 bags with basic necessities. These bags, weighing 10 kilograms (just over 22 pounds) each and providing 2,800 meals, were transported to Kingdom Halls of Jehovah’s Witnesses that were designated as relief distribution centers. From the first shipment, three-day rations were distributed to 4,700 people. This was followed by twice-daily shipments of relief materials, including boxes of clothing.
Arrangements were also made to send fellow Witnesses who are medical professionals from the Dominican Republic to Haiti to assist in rendering urgently needed care. An Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses remained intact after the quake and is now serving as a temporary clinic and medical center for the injured. Three different Kingdom Halls in the affected area are being used similarly, with local Haitian Witnesses who are doctors providing medical attention. At these makeshift facilities, efforts are made to stabilize the patients’ condition. However, if the injuries are so severe that the patient needs a procedure that would use equipment and/or medication beyond what the Witnesses have on hand, arrangements are made to transport such a critical care patient to nearby hospitals. Initially, 12 Witnesses were transported to a hospital in Jimaní, Dominican Republic, near the border with Haiti. Critical care patients are now being taken to a hospital farther away, in Barahona, Dominican Republic, approximately 50 miles from the border. The Witnesses’ assistance in caring for the medical needs of their fellow worshippers and others is proving to be valuable, since several hospitals in Haiti were destroyed by the quake and the remaining area hospitals are overwhelmed. Two teams of Jehovah’s Witnesses who are medical professionals from France, Germany, Switzerland, and the United States volunteered to travel to Haiti and to work directly with the relief efforts that the branch offices in Haiti and the Dominican Republic are coordinating. These teams are expected to arrive by Tuesday, January 19.
There are an estimated 10,000 of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the disaster area. Sadly, the latest reports from the Haiti branch office confirm that the death toll among the Witnesses now stands at 103, and that number is expected to rise as more reports are received. The Witnesses continue coordinating their international relief efforts from their world headquarters in Brooklyn. The Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses is caring for these expenses by utilizing funds donated to the Witnesses’ worldwide work.

the money that goes there could help some of the people in america that are homeless some choose to be some choose not to be because of our economic times and take some of the money and put into food banks across america so some little child doesnt need to go to bed hungry tonight or any night do people in america realy shut there eyes on promblems here and say lets do this it will make us look good in eyes of other and then will get back to the real problems in america no jobs because wages are cheaper in china myself if a company wants to move overseas he loses his patent rights so some other american here can start up and put americans back to work i would think it was time for america to step up and look at the major promblems here in america
I've been told there are 500 people living in a school we built up in the mountains between Leogane and Jacmel - it is called Petit Harpon. No help yet. What is the way to send for help to see how they are. Would CNN go? Would the Military go? What would be a starting email path??
Please CNN let the right people know this...Dont let the money from all the charityz goes to Haiti Government cause the haitian people will not get a cent from it.
It's really sad to watch Haitian people struggle. Mainly to receive food. Why can a organization just go out there and put up a tent a cook things like pancake is not hard hello they need something to eat. I wish I had the resources to go out there and do just that cook for the people of Haiti.I don't know why they make it so complicated what is it that the money where donating is not really getting to Haiti to me I think that's exactly whats happening. That's a disgrace.. I admire people like John Travolta because he uses his personal plane too bring food; we need more people like this there are so many rich people out here and mainly rappers like Jay Z that should be using his fame to help these people out; but I guess the best they can do is come up with a song WOW!!! Haitians don't care about a song dedicated to them all they want and need is food and shelter. Thank you CNN for your continue broadcasting of Haiti.
Thanks to iReporters Team as well for all this, keep up the charity work.
From the desk of,
Mr. Petrillo
