Good morning from the Philippines. I think this round table is yummy and bet everyone will forget to acheive that 6 packs... I'm always dreaming of having that abs but being a foodie would not permit me....

Hi everyone,

I've got a bit of disappointing news to start things out. Kat and Sarah from Eatocracy have to catch a flight, so they're not going to be able to join us today.

We can still talk about food though or any other questions you have.

Since there seems to be little discussion, I'd like to take a second to ask Henry and David if they got my email about the WWII vets? I was hoping you could use some of those clips today...

We're excited about the "It's not Thanksgiving without.." assignment. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's dishes.

The CNN.com newsroom is getting into the act too. I saw one of our producers carrying a photocopy of her grandmother's dressing.

She said her relatives will fight over it.

It was also neat to see the recipe because it was written out and looked like the Declaration of Independence or something.

Hi @KCRep what food assignments would you like to see? We would certainly pass them on to the Eatocracy editors.

@WCNreporter....thats sounds so yummy.  I cut the chicken up in small pieces, fry it up, then add medium pieces of onions, red bell pepper, zuccini and pinapple chunks, sautee all that in teriyaki sauce and place over sticky rice.   Oh so good.

November 11, 2010

Hhanks/Dwilliams: do I just take a picture or video of what I am making for thanksgiving meal this year? I am making homemade crab cakes this year to take over since I have two meals to go to.

What kinds of food-related assignments would you like to see?

I'm always amazed by the "art food" movement (food porn, if you will) that's out there.

And what issues related to food do  you think are important? Nutrition issues have really been in the news lately.

If all else fails, what's the most interesting thing you've ever eaten?

November 11, 2010

That sounds excellent @WCNreporter - we want to know especially about the one thing that is a must to make your Thanksgiving.

@nsaidi, I think we can put nutrition issues aside for the Thanksgiving assignment? I'm all about that three cheese mac & cheese. I make a killer mac. :D

November 11, 2010

Hhanks/Nsaidi- sounds great! I am making deviled eggs for the meal at my sisters Thanksgiving, but then I am making crab cakes for a family from my church who invited me for Thanksgiving so I will get a pic/video of both things I make. I do love to cook, and crab cakes are always wonderful to make!!!!!

@nsaidi - the most interesting i've eaten is a pufferfish, in japan it's called fugu and the most expensive but poisonous dish. an accredited chef should only do the preparation and cooking of the fugu, but here in the Philippines, despite of lots of reported poisoning, there are a lot of people eating pufferfish because the meat is so good. I already eaten a pufferfish and so far it's the most delicious and interesting dish i've ever tasted.....

Try this one on. Here in Fort Collins, CO (the its all good society) the persons that regulate the community college here are allowing women to be sexist towards the male students here by not allowing them to achieve in PreAlgebra classes. And I bellieve that this comes down from the board and all of those folks need to be fired from those positions (paid or unpaid) and all the female staff at the Front Range Community college system be fired sincenone of them have teaching certificates "Why are they teaching". American come down on this kind of politics and destroy these kinds of people.
