Hi KCRep - how are you doing today?

I will be driving a special needs school bus at 3:00pm and wanted to make a comment regarding the situation in Wisconsin's State Capital...We voted for Scott Walker because we wanted change...two previous Governors chased thousands of jobs and businesses out of the state and raised the remaining people's taxes to astronomical rates. Now the State funded employees and teachers are being asked to live within the same confines as the rest of us. Our bus company had to take a 5 yr freeze on wages that the teachers did not have to take. We have no health or retirement funds and they are only being asked to fund a small portion of what they already get...and to have to work effectively to retain their jobs like the rest of us. DO a good job and keep your job...you don't need a Union to do that...only to protect your job if you're poor at it. Hang Tough Governor Walker!! The regular taxpayer is 120% behind you!!!!

I'm doing much better thanks, had a very nasty cold for the last three weeks.  How are you?  Are you all still doing the food thingy at work?

HI everyone.  Glad you're feeling better, KCRep.

I have a question about comments being removed.  I've noticed there are iReporters that habitually delete comments they do not like or agree with, even though the comments are fine and do not violate any TOS.  How is this done?  My guess is that they have multiple accounts they log into and continue hitting "report violation" until the comment is deleted.  Not cool.  Can this be stopped?

Hi mymustanglrs - glad you could join us and I appreciate you sharing your opinion on the issue.

You might want to do an iReport about your feelings. Here's a link to one of our assignments

Joyful is correct, this has happened to me to, ppl remove comment I make and I don't violate TOS.  Ppl just don't like the truth sometimes, how are these comments being removed?

February 17, 2011

Hi JoyfulGypsy - The comments are handled in a couple of ways. When someone reports violation on a comment the moderators periodically check them out to see if they violate our guidelines.

There are also some automated filters that will pulled flagged comments, but I really don't want to go into too many details about that.

am new here, so i have lots of question that require answers.

February 17, 2011

I try to go through and put back comments that I see were pulled but don't violate the guidelines, but i don't always get to do it in as timely a manner as I would like.

It would seem that deleting comments just because you don't like them is a Terms of Service Violation in itself and something that should be addressed.

We here a lot from people in your country on our Facebook page and I was wondering how they found us.

So I'm behind on the topic but I do have a question- the 2012 election is gearing up and I plan on doing a lot of reporting on the issues and candidates - any advice for this time around? iReport was a bit different in 2008 when I started.

one fact you have to know is that, CNN is a great cable channel and every Nigerian is proud to hook up with CNN for facts around the world. like the Egypt protest, i remember that my elder brother was on CNN 24/7. its amazing to know that CNN is here in Nigeria.

I and my friends are going to make a video-blog about the town we live in. We love it very much but unfortunately few people know about it. So we want to make a kind of virtual tour about our town (3 min vids twice a week), mostly history, informative and interesting. We plan this project for two years(2011-2013) cos in 2013 our town will turn 1150 years old and it's really full of history famous(, even worldwide) people

Do you find it interesting for iReports?

With all the press about uprisings in other countries why is there so little press about the mass protests, threats to call out the National Guard and the WI governor sending out the police to "hunt down" the Democrats? Shouldn't CNN be covering what's happening in WI?

I don't see or hear anything about what one person calls far more dangerous than any of the issues within the current comments on the state of the economy: Go to www. EndOfAmerica46.com to listen to Porter Stansberry discuss a prediction of what happens when the rest of the world will no longer accept the US dollar as the primary world currency. ( it's a tiresome commentary but with enough info to cause one to open a discussion in the media. It is also a commercial for one of his products, but ignore that.)

I wish CNN reporters would all stop accepting Right Wing talking point lies and myths as assumed fact, to begin interviews with conservatives.

The actual, proven facts do not agree with the viewpoint that entitlements add to the deficit.

Stop accepting and perpetuating that myth! You have disproven it yourselves, and should do so daily, instead of repeating the Fox 'news' propaganda.

The entitlements are separately funded, and not even remotely part of the deficit.

Social Security has a $28 Trillion surplus, which is actually used to reduce the published deficit.

Annual fluctuations necessitating minor tweaks to this spectacularly successful program, like means testing and ending the cap, were always assumed.

Medicare? Find me a for-profit, -highest risk only- Pool... At all.

The miracle is that it exists at all, and the "highest risk" (seniors only) limitation has only to be removed, for it, too, to be spectacularly successful.

HR676, by adding the young and healthy, would make it, and millions of small business jobs, solvent forever, with a surplus, no restrictions or copays. National health insurance for $100/mo.

Make it National Health Care by removing ALL profit from providers, removing even the definition of fraud and abuse -as do MANY countries, and it would be guaranteed cadillac health care for $100/month.
