We're starting to get a good crowd, which is awesome, so let me tell you about a new assignment that we just launched yesterday.

Summer driving season is almost here, so we want you all to share your roadtrip memories.

We want you to pull out your scrapbooks and boxes of old photos and show us your old road trip photos and share your memories.

I think the road trip assignment will be particularly interesting this year since gas prices are so high.

Is anyone planning a driving vacation

Summer driving can be very expensive with the price of gas rising around the U.S.A.  I have driven to the East Coast, North to New England, and up to Québec, Canada.

Hi david, i tried uploading the video using our connection in our office and i successfully uploaded it, but the video i uploaded is too late, issue about osama sea burial is all over but the answers the muslim commissioner gave me was quite different from the belief of sunni muslims. The internet speeds of computer shops here are not true, it always frustrates me everytime i upload videos.

exited to join the assignments.

I have a question, im starting to start the 11 hours volunteering, should i upload it every after activity or i will judt finish all before uploading.

Thanks

Hi GHung, I think that's going to be what makes this assignment so interesting. People used to be able to drive their giant family hauler station wagons from coast to coast for what we pay to go to the grocery store.

@markpel Thank you! That's fantastic. We'd love to see that. It's a little different but could be very interesting.

This assignment is about automobile trips and gas prices, specifically, which I would venture to say is probably a bigger deal in America because we don't have the same kind of rail infrastructure and things are spaced farther apart.

We're definitely still focusing on tornadoes and the flooding along the middle of the U.S. as well.

Gas prices here is going higher, people who have cars just commute to save money. Gas higher, prices of goods higher but salary of workers and employees still the same. Ill take photos and will upload once i illustrated the scenario here

Hello, everyone.  Congratulations on winning the Webby Award!

@Davidw - Is there anything in particular you would like to see or know about roadtrips?  What are you looking for?

May 5, 2011

Glad you got logged in okay JoyfulGypsy.

I think the big thing we're looking for is those things that made road trips memorable for you, whether it was when you were a kid in the backety-back of the station wagon facing backwards the whole way. Or college road trips or taking family on the road as an adult.

May 5, 2011

@JoyfulGypsy Good question. I think what we really want is to see your family in action. Show us people! Or dig up pictures from your family archives. The photos and videos should have some meaning to you. Treasured memories, you know? Does that help?

I just came out of Immigration detention after six months. I have never committed any felony or misdemeanor. I have lived here for 15 years. I have taught math in collges till an INS agent revoked my work visa based on lies because of bad experience. She confiscated all the proofs to prove otherwise. Ergo, I am lost in a loop for nine years. Furthermore, I was detained twice by INS(ICE). Besides I was accused of Int. Terrorism once by certaing police department which still interrogating me to make sure I won't sue them back. Notwithstanding, being fired from a college immediatelt after 9/11 for no reason. All my family is here and all are citizens. Now, I am losing my home, giving my children away because I can't feed them no more. I have a big family that depends on me. There are tens of unbelievable stories I learned from other immigrations detainees. Indeed, despite the many imiigration laws, there is no law. Why I say that? Because, from my last experince I can say that the ICE personel are confused and trying to figure out how to process cases and detainees. That's the reason the majority spend months or years. I am losing the battle after nine years. In fact, the relief is on the way. I can see my status will be finally fixed within the next two months. However, I am behing with one month bills which add up to around one thousand and a half thousand dollars including the mortgage. I need a little push to take my family to the safety shore.
