Have you seen this kitty?

Cat photo on beach

You may have noticed this picture of a cat popping up in iReports from all over the world. We noticed them the other day, and did some asking around and it turns out that it's a really sweet story.

It all started when an iReporter deactivated his account because of some sort of disagreement. I don't have all the details, and it's really none of my business, but the important thing is that other members of the iReport community decided to try to get him back.

The deactivated iReporter used a picture of a cat as his avatar, so they did what anyone would do if their cat went missing – they put up missing signs. It turned into a global search, with sightings reported in Paris, France, San Antonio, Texas, Salt Lake City, Utah, Malibu, California, and other places around the world.

The good news is, it worked. The iReporter is back and hopefully all is forgiven.

It's nice to see iReporters looking out for each other and this is a reminder that we should all be good to each other.

I also want to remind everyone that we're here to help if you're having a problem in the community. You can shoot me an email at any time, and I'll see what I can do.

Hmmm, disagreement? More like blatant back stabbing; but, I digress. All forgiven? Maybe, it depends on which iReporter you speak with. One thing is for sure, the lines have never been more finely delineated. I can say, absolutely no one has sent me any communications concerning the issue. Other than the latest provocation. To be more open, this is a simmering issue that has been going on for years. And, the issue is far from settled. It has simply died down for the time being as all have shoved it on the back burner. I await my opportunity to reignite the flame since no one is saying, "I'm sorry." Except me. Most do not even know what is going on. I can say this much. I know who my friends are. And, that is very sweet indeed. LOL

It was fun participating in the strategy to get Police State back on ireports. Too bad he still sounds disgruntled. I am clueless to what the issue is and with whom. That's okay. I hope they work things out.

Rose,  I can only say I do not appreciate being maliciously lied too. Hence, I will never address the person in question ever again. It shouldn't take folks long to figure out who.

This kitty is not true with its background.  Who knows the reason for the Police State of playing such a trick???

September 27, 2011

I have never misrepresented anything about my background. Those who feel differently are assuming without knowing the facts. Maybe they are making conclusions based on their own behavior.

Thank you, nl20051405, for illustrating exactly why I have become disenchanted with iReports. I'm 53 and have lived a "colorful" life. On one hand, I'm flattered that people find me unbelievable. On the other, I am insulted that folks think I'm a liar. Believe it or not, I've never even exaggerated my background. Only on one instance have I misstepped because of the rapid passage of time. i made a claim of having recently talked with street people about economic conditions when 10 years had passed. It seemed like yesterday. Although, the claim I made based on this statement was still valid. I am an Aspie with a gifted memory. I have a son who is autistic-also an Aspie. I would not do what I've been accused of. It holds no value for me. I couldn't care less what people think of me. Only my information is important and that is being stepped on by those who believe me to be false. And that is what bothers me.

OK, one last comment for here. I have relented. As I usually do. Sometimes folks do things when they aren't in the best frame of mind. Understood. However, it doesn't make it right. Seeing as how I'm not the best person for passing judgement on others, I will let things slide. Better to be amicable than adversarial. I'll practice what I preach.

PoliceState..since the world is both "adversarial and amicable" perhaps it is expecting too much of iReports to be anything other..//..anything better.  Let's keep it real.  The good news is PoliceState LIVES!! and is back on the prowl..(not really a prowl..more like a meow)..
