Hi everyone and welcome to the roundtable. This is the first time we've used a slate to promote the chat, so please let me know if you found it okay.

Our developers were hard at work this morning and rolled out a few important fixes.

The first is that you can now see all of an iReporter's stories on their profile page instead of just their most recent ones.

There is now a "see more" button that shows more of the iReports.

Hey EWillies,

I think they might still be working on that, though it is possible that it was cleared up with the other Windows IE issues.

Might be worth just uploading a quick video of your coffee maker or something to see how it looks.

Thanks for letting me know that k3vsDad.

I didn't realize there was a lag. That's good to know.

Welcome mugur,

We're going to be doing slates like that a lot to show of people who are doing interesting things as well as stories that people might be interested in.

The good thing is that those slates go into the activity feeds of every registered iReporter. That's almost a million people.

The other cool thing is that we added a bunch of new groups.

I'll give you the full list in just a second, but before I do that, let me take a minute to explain how the groups work.

Right now, groups will function as a personalized assignment desk so that you will get notifications about projects you're likely to be interested in.

December 1, 2011

Sorry I was typing a long answer about the groups.

Mugur, CNN iReport is first of all an American platform. Don´t wait too much for international or global interests.

December 1, 2011

If you sign up for the iReport interviews group, for example, you'll get a notification every time we have an opportunity to interview a celebrity.

If you hate celebrity news, you'll want to not join that groups.

This way you'll hear about the assignments you're interested in, but not be bothered with things you don't care about.

spk - it's not easy being relevant on CNN with stories from a country like Romania, but I am trying my best to tell interesting stories...by the number of people reading my posts it's like I am the worst photographer in the whole world...

Hi davidw, I like the new look of ireport. I noticed that around 3 days ago, while uploading my ireports, i encountered technical problems. I sent PM to fix it and I got a prompt response from ccntech.

If I make a video clip  through Windows Live Movie Maker,is this an acceptable format? I uploaded one, but it failed. According to cnntech and it was an uploading issue. thanks

@mugur It is sort of tit for tat among iReporters. The more active you are on the site, commenting and viewing others posts the more yours is noticed. If other ireporters are following you other non ireporter readers will view as well.

Mugur, I don´t understand why you post to CNN iReport, you are a professional photographer.

December 1, 2011

Mugur, I do understand how you feel. I feel the same way at times (though I haven't done photography in years) though mine are all written reports. I'm working up to video. I pretty much just get the same few people commenting no matter what I do an iReport on. Some never get comments. Don't feel bad and don't look down on yourself. Do it for you, not whether others agree or comment.

Hi Niena,

It looks like your last video went through fine.

Upload errors happen sometimes for various reasons. It can be a problem with a file, a glitch in one of our servers or any number of things.

Sometimes it works if you just try it again. If not, feel free to shoot us an email and we'll try to help.

We hope that the community will grow and comment/interact more now with the new design and features. I don't think there's any doubt that there's an audience for iReporters' stories. We try hard to feature the newsiest/high quality ones, but admittedly, some will fall through the cracks now and then.

We're big fans of your work, mugur.

Stories/submissions (from iReporters) form part of assignments.

Assignments (created by the iReport staff) form part of groups.

iReporters can sign up to groups in order to stay on top of assignments that might interest them.

That's an excellent question SPK. Joining groups isn't automatic, because we don't want you to be stuck in a group you're not interested in.

It's easy to join though.

If you go to the assignment page (http://ireport.cnn.com/community/assignment) and scroll down below the Top 5 assignments, you'll see a button to show all of the assignment groups.

When you click on any of those groups, you'll see a button that gives you the option to join them.

Hi all. Like the changes, David, especially notificatons. Any interest in animal or pet photo type group? I've noticed several ireporters post intriguing animal stories (Ulman's adoption for one; Ryn's cats, Sunethra's Bonsie, Jherri's and lots of others) and sometimes just interesting posts about pets that give us some good news on bad days.

I think we just renamed the politics group Election 2012, since so much of the political focus is on the elections.

We may want to think about having a non-election political group in the future. That's a good point.

@mugur- have you e-met "RomaniaScene"? (Natalie). You should look her up.

Nothing on pets as assignment, but ever considered it as a group? I'm just sayin'..... there's apparently an interest from ireporters and readers. When I did the Hurricane Irene pre-stories, a few dribbled in, when I featured photo of feral cat "Moochie" tho hundreds with passionate comments flooded it.People weren't worried about the guys on the roof having 'cane party, but mad as hornets that Moochie would be left behind and outside. Just a question to see if there's interest from both sides.
