Super sunny in San Diego. 80 at the beach! a rare thing and big waves as well at a great white shark sighting.
It's nice to see some sunshine - I'm also filming a few "This is CNN" pieces!
Re Eta James - UK newspaper the Daily Mail ran a headline which initially said
" At Last Singer Etta James Dies at 73"
which caused a few raised eyebrows ....
Ooh, that's unfortunate headline
What will the 'This is CNN' be used for? And are they using the ones from the past as well?
What do people do when they see a shark? Is it business as usual or do people stay out of the water?

I live at the beach. There are signs that say danger at the beach, shark sighting. But surfers are crazy and take the risk.
I've never seen a great white at this beach. very rare.
Regarding big whites get the cameras out

I joined iReport Januaru 2012. I wanted a voice. It worked well, but now that the crisis I reported is over. How do I turn this from a one time gig into a full time freelance engagement?

@Akata A lot of iReporters use their "on CNN" stories as clips on their resume when they're looking for a full-time job or freelance positions, and that's definitely a good strategy! I'd also recommend that you keep an online portfolio of your work (iReports and whatever else you've done). Here's a story we did about iReporters who leveraged their iReporting to get jobs: http://www.cnn.com/2011/IREPORT/08/11/job.success.irpt/

Hi, I'm new to this roundtable. I've been a CNN iReporter since April 2011. I have a question about the recent changes to the iReport site. Why are articles being limited to 4000 characters? Why don't comments have the same limitation?
@David the same thing happened to me as it did to KC.
By the time your Election comes around we will be getting ready for our Vote on Independence.
Since we're talking about it, I'll go ahead and open it up to everyone.
I'm working on a fun little video project and asked some iReporters to help me out with it.
If you're interested, shoot me a note and I'll send more details.
I could work on the concept then we could approach them do get it done, especially as iReports are the future

@HarryWales - That's a good question. I'd be keen to get a video perspective from you, but if you interviewed other folks as well, that'd be fascinating. Let's stay in touch. I'll let you know when I've launched an assignment.

I don't know what caused the character limit on iReport stories, but I do have a work around.
What you can do is post the story with just a little bit of text when you upload it.
Then you can go in and edit the story and add as much as you like.

Just a thought, consider stories on Non-Profits asking the good and bad, etc;
I hope so david but the Press over here as well as the Political Prties on the Right & the Left are pretty much all run from London.
That means very little of the Scottish Point of View will be seen here.
You may be more likely to get unbiased Points of View in America than we are.
Anybody got political project ideas, by the way? I specifically work with user comments, and politics is what everyone wants to talk about, so I'm always looking for fresh ideas to get people involved and so is Team iReport that you're talking to right now.

We have a spring wther in Copenhagen. Only Racism is a problem. I have just been in court, The Universoty of Copenhagen is triyong to get me emprisioned as a Terrorist with connections with Afcaeda. First I was acused of being a terrorist. One year later I was not a terroris but a person who has Guns as Pistols asking for permkission to shut everyone. Strang but a serious case.
