    Road Warriors: Traveling Tactics

    Traveling Tips

I guess the term "Be careful what you wish for" could not be more true for me. I requested to travel more and Bam! 10,000+ miles, 60 or so restaurants, 3 hotels, visited 7 cities all within 30 days. I guess I should share some of my experiences with you guys...

    • Get in the Presidents Lounge and you'll thank me later when your flight is delayed 6-7hrs. Showers, Free Drinks, Free snacks, free wi-fi and last but not least its peaceful! Your company might actually even pay for it since you can actually work in there...

    • When selecting seats for long flights choose the aisle seat in the middle row. Your chances that the two seats are empty are greater. I usually buckle the seat belt lay down flat and just crash on long flights if the other two guys don't show up.

    • Invest in cheap noise cancelling headphones. You can probably get ok ones for maybe $50-$75 and near silence on the plane. Ah, so peaceful when the baby is crying 2 aisles down.

    • If buying luggage you can skip those expensive ones and look for Polycarbonate luggages. They're colorful so you can spot them, light and durable

    • Pack clothes that tend to go with whatever you got. If you pack brown then shirts jeans, dress shirts, going out clothes etc should somehow all work. It takes the guess work of packnig black belts, black shoes etc. Less weight is always great.
