How to make the Bailout Plan Work

Here a few common sense ideas that seem to be lost on the entire legislative branch of our government. If you want the American people to support the bailout, the following points are a start.

    1. Eliminate "golden parachutes", and all executive compensation for failing companies that require rescue by the bailout. No one is going to approve of a bill that makes sure the millionares get richer.

    2. Punish the executives that caused this collapse (i.e. jail time, fines, etc.). These people committed treason by investing the American people's money irresponsibly leading to what could be a collapse of our economy. They knowingly made these choices and should have to pay.

    3. Give us all the details. Yes, the American people can tell when you are trying to hide something. If you are not being honest with us, how can you expect our full trust in your plan.

I hope all of these ideas will be taken into consideration before the next vote because I don't believe the outcome will be any different if these points are not clearly covered. The American people are not going to change their minds without a totally new approach to solving this crisis. Give us full disclosure, punish those who caused this mess, and don't make the rich, richer.
