Life After Essure
After my fifth child, with the youngest two being one year of age and eight months, I decided to close up shop. I then went to my doctor to request a tubal. They then suggested I get Essure, which they made it seem like it was sent from Heaven only to later learn it was sent from Hell. When the doctors are describing this method of permanent birth control, they advise you with Essure they can go in vaginally as opposed to the tubal where you have to get operated on, they also say it’s not possible to get pregnant due to the scarring it causes to the tubes, and the only side effects are mild cramping which should go away a week after it's implanted. I received my Essure Dec 17,2012, a month later, I was still having horrible pain so I went in to see the doctor and was advised that I was probably constipated as if I didn't know the difference. They also don't tell you that you would be bleeding non-stop. I have had one month with no bleeding but other than that I've been bleeding with no breaks. They don't mention the weight gain and the inability to lose weight due to the metal that is used. It's like the doctors are programmed to stick to the same script. I mentioned the inability to lose weight to my doctor and she said." Our scientific data doesn't state the Essure devices is the cause of weight concern" My response was that science isn't always correct. When you actually research the makeup of the device it clearly states metal is a cause of not losing weight. My question to them would be, would you use this as a form of birth control? I recently joined a support group after researching my symptoms and looking to see if there were others in my situation and to my surprise, there were more than I thought it would be. The Facebook group. " Essure Problems" has over 1700 women who has had essure and currently suffering or who had suffered, but recently go them removed and even mothers of those who has had those devilish things in them. We want to spread the word across the world that this method is not what they make it seem. People are getting nickel poisoning, terrible pains, pregnant, yes pregnant which they said wouldn't be possible and so many more complications. I recently requested to have these things removed and currently waiting for my surgery date.
