    Animal Abuse leads to Investigation, Mexico

     

    A man in Mexico, after posting a video of him torturing a cat on Facebook, along with other images of animal abuse, is now wanted by the Federal and State Authorities in Mexico. Residing in San Martin Texmelucan de Labastida of Puebla, the man has been announced under investigation by the mayor and governor of the respecting counties.

     

    Overnight, the pictures and video spread wildly through social media, leading to groups of people from Mexico and America, including myself, contacting numerous animal rights agencies and officials to deal with this event.

     

    Tweets were sent to the mayor, governor, and even a CNN report to get this to where it is now, and it is still growing. Currently, the story is all over the news in Mexico according to some, and the Facebook group fighting it is continuing to grow, consisting of over 900 residents from Mexico and other 100 or so from various countries, majoring from America.

    Update : 13/07/13 , The man's profile was taken down, as were the videos. People reported  them to Facebook, but the moderators dubbed the pictures not offensive. Individuals took it upon themselves and downloaded the videos, where they posted them on various media sharing sites, such as Youtube.
