Zimmerman Protests Rage On
- zdan, CNN iReport producer
For the third day in a row, since the verdict of ‘not guilty’ was rendered in the trial of George Zimmerman, demonstrators marched through the streets of Washington D.C., this time to rally at the White House.
“No justice, no peace,” a chant that has become the mantra of the movement, echoed throughout Lafayette Park, and could be heard from blocks away.
Dozens of demonstrators took turns voicing their personal opinions and experiences, while more than 150 others braved the heat with open ears.
While there was a heavy police presence, the demonstration remained mostly peaceful, but not without obvious tension.
