Local Nonprofit Fights Sex Trafficking Through Undercover Investigations

Colorado-- Launched in 2012, The Exodus Road coalition is an organization which empowers rescue from sex trafficking in SE Asia and India primarily by fueling undercover investigative work. To date, this operation has helped rescue 189 victims of sexual slavery. It is a grassroots organization that focuses on technological innovation and collaboration and was begun from the undercover investigative work of founder Matt Parker.

Working with 30 undercover investigators from various nationalities and religions, The Exodus Road provides professional-grade surveillance equipment, operational funding, and operative support and training to those active in the investigative community.

Since July of 2012, The Exodus Road, in close partnerships with local police, have directly supported the rescue operations for 189 victims of sexual exploitation and trafficking, most under the age of 18. These intervention efforts include virgin rescues, infiltration into locked brothels, rescues of young boys being sold to pedophiles, and the recent major bust of a dance bar in India with 89 trafficked victims, as well. Each raid and investigation is led by local police and results in arrests and prosecutions of criminals by the local government.

The Exodus Road works to provide covert camera gear and surveillance equipment to teams in the coalition. To date, they have gifted $100,000 worth of undercover gear to teams, many of whom are indigenous and lack necessary funding. Currently the organization is headquartered in Woodland Park, CO, but they are launching field offices in both SE Asia and India, both global hotspots for the illegal sex trade.

With partners in the government, NGO community, and after care networks on the ground, The Exodus Road raises the efficiency, quality, and frequency of investigations into the world of sexual slavery. They are also committed to giving donors a front-row seat to rescue efforts in the field through releasing covert footage and providing real- time updates on specific cases of trafficking.
