Justice for Trayvon Martin March in Oregon

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     University of Oregon student Polly Irungu participated in a rally for Trayvon Martin last week, and even led a few chants in the rally. “It was a beautiful scene of people from all different backgrounds coming together to stand up for justice. I felt so empowered being amongst the crowd. It was uplifting and the mood was contagious,” she said.

On July 18th, 2013 the University of Oregon: Black Student Union, Native American Student Union and Multi-Cultural Center planned a rally, march and candle light vigil to show solidarity with Trayvon Martin and all those who are victims of violent acts. The UO's BSU, NASU & MCC supports justice and fairness to all humankind.

The rally started at UO EMU Amphitheater and then continued to Wayne Morse Free Speech Plaza.

The attire was dark clothing/hoodies but everyone was welcome to participate.
