A New Iraqi Youth Movement as the HOPE to the new generation.
A group of youth leaders from many provences formed a new political movement that called " Iraqi Youth Movement"
The founder and leader of the movement Mr. Al-Mayahi Haitham is an Iraqi American citizen who is a PhD Student at Howard University in the Capital -Washington DC. Mr. Al-Mayahi also a victim of Saddam’s dictatorship and forced to leave Iraq in 1998.
Mr. Al-Mayahi since he entered the USA in 2001 tried to help his homeland country through participating in handereds of political, cultural discussion, and events. He decided to establish USIYI, the largest Iraqi youth institute as a sub-way to educate Iraqi youth in the USA and unit them in one group and link them with Iraqi youth in Iraq.
Since 2003 Iraq is struggle with many issues that has negative impact on its politics, economy and social life. These issue such as; Terrorism, Sectarianism, and Corruption are all increased dramatically in Iraq recentlly.
The youth represent 60% of Iraq's population, which is the majority of the street in between the age 15-25 year old. These youth are seen violence daily, which has negative impact on their future. The majority of the youth in Iraq have no hope, no future and seeking soultions to their situation and to their country.
Mr. Al-Mayhai and his friends and members inside Iraq formed this movement as a solution to the issues, that facing Iraq. The movement already established in those provinces in Iraq, Baghdad, Kirkuk, Karbala, Najaif, Waset, Babil,Thi-qar- and way more to go as Mr. Al-Mayahi said. The idea is not only to be a movement on the street, but to enter the Iraqi parliamentary election in the 2014.
