This iReport is part of an assignment:
My first car |
1962 Nash Metropolitan
My first car was a 1962 Metro convertible. It had a "three on the tree" standard transmission, tube radio, no seat belts and a passenger door that would fly open when making left turns, making for quite a precarious and thrilling ride. My dad and I restored it when I was in high school. It was very slow (only 55 horse power) and not very reliable, but it was an absolute blast to drive around Southern California. Perfect beach car. The girls loved it because of its extreme cuteness.
