    Nakhlistan Eid-ul-Fitr Feeding Scheme

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     The night cooking at the Nakhlistan Eid-al-fitr Feeding Scheme in Cape Town, South Africa was captured by Amien Phillips. "As Muslims it is our duty during Ramadan to give an annual compulsory charity called Fitra. It's payable by the head of the family on behalf of each family member and ensures that all Muslims are able to enjoy Eid. It's initiatives like these that really make me proud to be a Muslim, it shows what the true Islam is all about and not the one that is so often stereotyped as being a violent religion." said the 34-year-old.
