After costliest flood in Canada's History
The water in the first photo showing my friend and his camera, hit the top of the train bridge in the first photo and destroyed it.
Hundreds of thousands were evacuated and to this day
the exact cost of rebuilding will be in the tens of billions and take some 10 years to complete.
The devastation is beyond belief affecting tens of thousands of homes and lives.
Most insurance companies defaulted on claims as "over land flooding" was the cause and is not insurable in Canada.
This is no country for old men or women. Life to be sure, here or in New Orleans, or Fukushima or China is difficult. Sometimes it is best not to think too much, just for today, just for today is all anyone can hope for or handle.
