    Nashville flood damage


    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     TreyW85 is a journalism student and play-by-play announcer in Nashville, Tennessee. Early Thursday, he read posts on Twitter about the shopping center that had been ripped apart in Madison, about an hour away. When he got there, the water had receded into a big creek behind it and he shot this video. Thursday evening, he said it had been raining non-stop since Wednesday morning. He saw cars floating near Opreyland and traffic backed up to a standstill in downtown Nashville.

    Parts of 12 Midwestern and Eastern states experienced some sort of flood watch or warning Thursday. Forecasters predict it will be a particularly nasty storm season. Read more here on
