TRANSFORMERS 4 DETROIT
- Jareen, CNN iReport producer
Detroit was dressed up to look like Hong Kong, China. Using plenty of Green Screen technology, street in signs in Chinese, and plenty of the local Asian population working as extras on the set it almost looked as though Detroit was flourishing with a new Downtown area amidst the bankruptcy of the city.
The movie set brought together all Detroiters to the downtown area to see the cars and the actors. It also brought in money in to the City Itself and local businesses.
This is a photo of one of the car chases down the main
street of the set. Notice that Director Michael Bay on the right side of the photo holding the Megaphone.
