Ft Lewis, Washington
This iReport is part of an assignment:
Salute to troops
Blackhawk Down Memorial Ride
Doc is honoring our fallen by riding cross country to raise awareness & money for a Special Operations charity. He lost his support due to insurance issues but is still going to “complete the mission.” He could use help along the way. We would love to have local bike clubs and bike businesses help provide support along the way and if you would like to donate, you can go to the Facebook site at:
It would also be great to have local news agencies spread the word and come out to support Doc along the route and cover the 2+ month event. He leaves 2nd Ranger Bn in Ft Lewis, Washington on 11 Aug and will travel to Salt Lake, Utah, site of 1992 Ranger helicopter crash. From there he will head to Ft Campbell, then on to 3rd Ranger Bn in Ft Benning, Ga. He will finish the ride in Ft Bragg, NC, home of Special Operations Command and Special Forces Operation Detachment-Delta.
