Several Palm Beach County Commissioners and the Planning and Zoning Board would be breaking Federal EPA and FL State DEP laws which would help a developer make multi-millions of dollars, $$$, if they allow the developer to build condos on a toxic golf course. The golf course has been tested by the EPA and DEP in 2011 with results that the golf course has 4 times the allowed Arsenic Level for humans to be exposed to and that it must remain "Open Space." The same verdict came from a law suit that the developer lost in 2008. Why did some of the Commissioners change the resolutions in January of 2012 to enable the developer to submit yet another plan to develop? The DEP states that the golf course cannot be "cleaned up" due to the toxicity being too high and too deep therefore too close to the underground water table. All county officials, Florida Senators on the Environmental Board, U.S. Senators in Washington, newspapers and T.V. stations have been sent the 60 page EPA/DEP report and the story, but to no avail!!! The criminal division and the enforcement division of the EPA have been contacted, but NOTHING has been done. What is the use of having laws that NO ONE follows? Little people must follow laws but not wealthy people!!!
