Zero Tolerance for Diversity-The Face of U.S. GOP House Leadership
The GOP is attempting to window dress their obvious belief that only white guys can chair and lead the U.S. House of Representative Committees.
Maybe someone should inform the GOP that women have had a role in running the households long since men were the only ones to go to work.
And that Blacks and Hispanics are a growing constituency.
But as we can see from the picture, the GOP continue to believe that the best person for the job of leadership is a white, rich guy.
Long live the Confederacy and male chauvinism, eh, GOP?
You'll need to change your attitudes before you can hope to change discriminatory laws.
Under pressure, they've added a woman.
But, do we see any minorities?
(See the second photo of Democratic Chair people.)
Here is your House leadership on display. Any questions about the future of this party that's in demise?
"House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) announced who will chair all of the major House committees in the next Congress.
And it turns out they all have something in common besides party affiliation: they're all white men.
There isn't a single woman or minority included in the mix of 19 House committee chairs announced Tuesday -- a stark reality for a party desperate to appeal to women and minorities after both groups overwhelmingly rejected Republicans just weeks ago in the presidential election.
The one female committee chair that House Republicans currently have, Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.), is stepping down because her term is up. While there are still two lower-tier House committees awaiting a chair assignment -- the Ethics Committee and House Administration -- neither committee has any women or minority members. ..."
Now she's been replaced when America noticed.
GOP Attacks Deficit of Women"
The Republicans are looking for a "Few Good Women".
Can you make the grade?
No war on women? Maybe the GOP would be less suspect were they to actually ask women their thoughts before dictating to them what they can do with their bodies and lives.
