This iReport is part of an assignment:
Normal Saylorville Marina north of Des Moines, IA.
I've uploaded photos of flooding in the Des Moines area a few times in the past, including in the early part of this summer. Flooding in the Des Moines, IA, seems to be represented by flooding in and around the Saylorville Lake. I figured that it would be a good idea to upload photos of what the Saylorville Marina normally looks like.
Here I have a couple of photos of the same areas from which I photographed the flooding earlier this year. You can compare photos and see how deep the water had been earlier this year.
I've also included a photos of the actual area from where I took the photos.
This is not a new news story. Instead, this is a story about what is normal. Use it for comparison to the stories which make news of flooding in the North Des Moines, Iowa, area.
Am uploading this a 2nd time since an uploading connection error created a problem with the story that I just filed.
