Elvis Week His Personal Flash And Bling
- hhanks, CNN iReport producer
Every Elvis fan knows how generous he was with his friends, family and even total strangers. Once, while at an automobile dealership, he ran across a woman looking at a new Cadillac. Elvis asked her if she was going to buy the car, she said no, she wished she could though. He bought it for her on the spot.
Here are some flash and bling items found at Graceland that Elvis owned for himself.
1-The Eagle Jumpsuit he wore for the Aloha From Hawaii Concert. This Cape is the cape he threw out into the audience at the end of the concert. A reporter from Hawaii caught it. It is now on display (donated back) at Graceland. Valued at well over $250k. Elvis helped design this cape, it was a backup for the initial cape that he was going to wear but that cape proved to long and too heavy.
2-Jewelry he wore. The TCB ring was also given to his "Memphis Mafia" as they were called, bodyguards. TCB stands for "Taking Care of Business". He also gave out TLC rings and necklaces to the women in his life. TLC means "Tender Loving Care".
3-Collection of Guns and Law Enforcement Badges.
4-This is the Television Elvis shot out while watching Robert Goulet on some show. For some reason Elvis hated Robert Goulet.
5-Gold Lame suit. (Not my personal favorite :)
6-Gold and Platinum Records Hall
7-Karate outfit. Elvis was an eighth degree blackbelt in Karate.
8-The Lisa Marie. Elvis's personal airplane, he had two.
9-The bed Elvis slept on while flying in the Lisa Marie.
