Perseid Meteor Shower captured at Dinosaur Valley State Park
We actually captured a shot of a meteor during the Perseid meteor shower August 11, 2013. This was taken at Dinosaur Valley State Park near Glen Rose, Texas, oddly enough just 50 or so feet above where there are actual dinosaur tracks in the river bed of the stream that runs through the park. A somewhat ironic place to watch a meteor shower.
My son suggested shooting towards the moon and we didn't actually see the meteor fly through this shot until we were looking back through the exposures. We got super lucky!
