Facebook Bans "Liking"
So I did what any proud American would do ... I began liking my wedding photos at a feverish pace. This apparently upset Facebook so much that they felt compelled to ban me from "liking" for up to two (2) days. The horror! I was "liking" photos from my own wedding, which often featured me in the photos.
Facebook has overstepped their bounds with this ridiculous act of banning me from "liking" photos. I wasn't even aware that this was possible. Who would think that Facebook would be disappointed in one of its users who was using a keystone feature that they would block them from using it.
I filed a report with Facebook stating that I felt this was overstepping their bounds. I also pointed out that I find it difficult to believe that Facebook would take such measures towards a user who was simply "liking" photos of their wedding.
Do you think Facebook would have blocked me from "liking" every advertiser who solicited on their website? I think not. And for this reason I feel Facebook needs to re-examine their policy of blocking users who "like" in volumes that are apparently too much for Facebook to handle.
P.S. - This sounds like a story for veteran reporter Jeanne Moos.
