Sri Lanka United Nations Friendship Organization (SUNFO) is a non government organization and non-racial organization with the goal of uniting the world into a movement for working for the well-being, harmony and peace of mankind in accordance to the principles of the United Nations. The main goal of the designated members for the Republic of Maldives is to bring a progressive change, especially in the youth sector of the country. This involves working with the youth initiative programs of the United Nations and other international organizations as well as connecting local youth networks, various youth clubs and movements within Maldives, while giving a chance for Maldivian youth to connect with Sri Lankan organizations of such. SUNFO Maldives team intends to accomplish this mission through well planned strategies that involves collaborating with educational organizations and youth projects. Also, youth advocacy groups would be sent to engage with commonly arising issues in Maldives; with the objective of working out ways to improve the education system, gender based violence, human rights and other such issues. The final goal would be to bring a desirable change to the entire nation while achieving peace and harmony throughout the country.
