I am very shameful to say that I did not experience to vote. I am already 35 years old. My main concern is that there is always long line while you are trying to register to vote. I tried to register many times especially during the 2010 presidential elections, but with no success. This shows that our democracy, the Philippine democracy is totally flawed. A lot of people want to vote, but they restrict that right of suffrage. Another thing, some registered voters are just 'paid' by some politicians. They are called flying voters and can vote anywhere. Some registrants are using the names of deceased people so that they can be registered. The lines take so long and I am tired from work and can't wait very long. I have a Youtube video (check my channel 'riccisantiago) on the long lines during voting registration, and recently in the news there are also some clashes between the police on registrants.
How come this is always happening to us and what the Philippine government can do to solve it?
