I am a white, single woman. I live alone with my daughter. So far this year there have been 34 murders in my city. Of these, 99% have been black on black. Two have been innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire in "bad" neighborhoods. My chances of being murdered are relatively slim given these statistics. On the other hand, my chances of being robbed are better than I care to think about. If my car doors didn't lock automatically I would lock them, not just when someone approaches my car but for general safety. I trust no one & fear all I don't know, no matter their race, for my daughter's sake. Before her, I was fearless. I guess what I am trying to say is that I am racist against the human race. If you are unknown to me, you are a potential threat to my daughter.
