Don Lemon Russell Simmons Harriet Tubman Response

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Sports photographer ZoelKennedy was inspired to send in this commentary after not being satisfied by CNN's Don Lemon coverage of the story about Russell Simmons' parody sex-tape video of Harriet Tubman. She says the video demeans women, specifically women of color. 'Women of color are not valued in the media,' she said. As a woman who has experience dealing with abuse and living on the streets for a period of time because of domestic problems from her childhood, she says this parody video is insulting and really hits home for her. 'I know what it feels like to have to put out for money for a place to sleep and survive. It's not a joking matter,' she said.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

My view, a woman's view of the Harriet Tubman sex tape and the impact it may have on the already tarnished image of African American women.
