While driving alone as a twenty something female in 1976 through a familiar north Atlanta neighborhood very close to my home a frightening series of events unfolded. I slowed my car as I approached a four-way stop.Suddenly a shower of large rocks crashed against the car launched by a group of young men standing in plain sight. No one reprimanded them or came to my rescue. I fled the scene fearing for my life. The Atlanta I grew up in had a peaceful racial climate with families mixing and black and white children going to school together. The shocking incident at the corner of Windsor Parkway and Antioch Road stands as the face of racism for me to this day. #racismdoes'tdiscriminate
