One of my favorite events to cover is Quakecon, a network gaming party held in Dallas every August. Hosted by id software and Bethesda Softworks it is nerdvana. A sea of gamers all whoppin up on each other over a massive network.
The convention also comes with a number of vendors that visitors and gamers alike can get the latest gear or play the latest games. One of these I want to share with the CNN audience. MincraftEDU is an educational mod for the popular online game where teachers of all subjects can use what the kids are already into to teach.
I interviewed Joel Levin for some livestreaming we did from the convention and captured this great video describing what this tool can do.
