Delta - Truly cares about its first class passengers
2219518533) often going way out of my way to make sure I’m booked on a Delta flight. During those years, I have had the fortune of traveling First, Business class and coach both nationally and internationally. I am stating this to provide a level of my flying experience. Never in all of my years as a Delta customer have I had such a horrific experience as I did last night on my return trip from Santiago, Chile (Flight 146). I had severe stomach cramps and had to rush to the closest restroom which happened to be in the first class cabin (I was seated 1 row behind first). When I entered the restroom I was physically assaulted and forcibly pulled out of the restroom by the male flight attendant in first class before I could use it. During this episode, the flight attendant slammed my hand in the door of the bathroom causing extreme pain and bleeding. Consequently, I was unable to make it into the rest room in time and soiled my garments. Upon being forcibly removed from the restroom, I calmly walked to the galley and showed the first class flight attendants my hand and asked for a complaint form. However, I was told they didn’t have any such forms. I then asked to speak with a Sky Marshal and was told one was not present on the flight. The flight attendant who assaulted me then cleaned my wound and put a bandage on the wound. The episode was witnessed by two other flight attendants who can corroborate my story (an older Caucasian gentleman and an older African-American female). In addition to the painful wound on my hand, I was severely humiliated as a result of this violent encounter and having not made it to the restroom in time. I have taken pictures of my hand and will need to have my hand x-rayed because it is very swollen. At this point I would like to file a formal complaint and am considering legal action against the flight attendant for assault and battery.
