Speaking up about sexual violence
India--Wild Life Sanctuary for Men
India—Wild Life Sanctuary for Men
Indian males have not graduated from the ape to a civilized- being status. Michaela Cross did the mistake of crossing invisible boundaries. In a zoo, no one jumps into the Lion’s lair or the bear’s hangout. Ninety nine percent Indian males are untamed animals despite believing in ideal men like Rama and Vivekananda. All the religions teach respect for women. Still it is a male dominated society where women are treated like slaves or second class citizens in most households.
India is a jungle which is definitely unsafe at night and in secluded places. Anyone who oversteps into these areas is poking the hyenas of Indian society. An Indian male just cannot handle white skin and nudity. He goes berserk. It is only safe for a white woman to walk in groups or the Five Star protected trail.
For a female tourist, no matter what the color, walking into public places at night is as dangerous as for a Christian to be in Egypt, Syria, Iran or Iraq.
The mores of Indian males vary from region to region. The male is supreme except perhaps in the northeast and some pockets in Kerala. India is separated into two uncomfortable groups. These are of men and women. Men want to treat women like dirt. It is safe only for women to travel in groups. Women groups are safe havens for foreign tourists. Stay away from the dysfunctional Indian males.
Segregation is alive and kicking in India. Why do we have a Ladies coach in the Delhi Metro? Women do not want to be groped, fondled, whistled at and maltreated in a crowded Metro ride. They all opt for the Ladies only coach when possible. Men will never get up for the seats reserved for women in the normal coaches. Nor will they get up for senior citizens in earmarked seats.
It is wise for foreign tourists both male and female to be wary of this minefield of ungoverned behavior. Do not trust anyone is certainly truer here if it is true in your country.
