How to Loss Weight with Soup?
Soups provide nutrition without packing on the calories. If you want to lose weight quickly, you can do so by learning how to live on soup for fast weight loss. With the various kinds of soup available, you can eat lots of it without getting bored of a particular kind.
Select or make soups that are rich and hearty. These will be more filling so you are less likely to become hungry between meals.
Choose soups that are made with meat-based (chicken, beef) broths, as this will help you fulfill your daily protein requirement.
Eat several smaller meals throughout the day. Aim for 5 to 6 meals a day, eating a bowl of soup every 3 hours.
Figure out your basal metabolic rate (BMR), which represents the number of calories your body burns every day at rest. Locate online calculators to determine your BMR number.
Reduce your BMR by 500 calories. This will give you a daily caloric intake amount to allow for weight loss at a safe rate of 1 lb. (0.45 kg) per week. For example, if your BMR is 1727 calories every day, eat only 1227 calories per day from soup.
Walk for at least 30 minutes a day. You can walk for up to 60 minutes, but don't exercise too much because your body might not be able to handle it. The soup-only diet may make it difficult for your body to adapt to strenuous activity.
Follow the soup-only diet for no longer than 1 week at a time. You will see weight-loss results, but you must be willing to make overall lifestyle changes to keep the weight off. You can continue to eat soup, but mix in other healthy low-calorie, portion-controlled meals to ensure you are meeting all your nutritional requirements.
