Don't Fear The Reaper
The "I Deserve" Attitude
I can look at all of these and no matter what color, age, gender, sexual orientation? It happens everywhere. Is it ok for it to happen? No not a chance. Does it make me special because I am white? No Is it ok for the guy who stabbed my friend to death? No Was it ok for my brother to commit suicide? No Is it ok for me to insult Christians because I am not one, yet I have PTSD? No. When I look at all of these and really what it boils down to is simply respect. If you open your mind up enough and you love enough you can change the world no matter who you are.
I guess that is why I am not a political debate junkie because I tend to keep my mind open completely and hear out all sides and make a common sense decision not a decision based on what my heart feels but what is right for my daughter.
The ingredients to peace:
Completely open your mind to all things.
Accept all religions and political regimes as a unit. (people are afraid to die so they gather in hopes that their own hopes and dreams come true. But before they die they are afraid they will lose their livelihood so they fight for what they think will help them survive.)
Be kind to everyone you meet until they give you a reason to be unkind. But remember unkindness can have negative results you may never expect.
Remember ALL people can be kind or evil. Keep your mind open to that fact so your not caught completely off guard. It takes a split second for someone to take your life.
Love openly without conditions. Just love
Show respect and do not expect respect. You will receive respect if you give it.
Showing how manly you are does not make you any stronger in a crowd. If your a video game, cheeto eating, hounddog while your alone? Being in a gang is not going to change that.
If you walk around with a gun be prepared to use it. Be prepared to take a life if you have to to defend yourself. If you don't you could end up getting killed and someone else as well.
Many of these ingredients are components to fear. If you fear death your going to do everything you can to save yourself. If you remove the fear you have completed many of the ingredients. Fear snaps a hold of people and will hold them in one spot for decades they won't move. Fear gives us a reason to disrespectfully invade others lives when we have no right there. If we as humanity ever want to come to a place of peace with little discourse we need to establish we fear nothing. There is no monster, bug, conspiracy, person, law that can rattle our bones. We will never establish a perfect peace in this world but we will eventually come to terms with our own death. Now I figure if we can get past the fear of our own death? We can get past any other fear in this world. Tragedy after tragedy there is very little I fear. I have tried to not become numb but I have tried to put myself in position to where I don't have to fear anything.
I do not fear anyone invading my home because I believe all people are inherently good. But I do fear for the persons life that would invade my home because I would go to every extent to not end their life but to extend their lives so I could make sure they understood they did wrong. I don't believe in forcing people into death because I believe all people should be able to come to terms with the end of their physical life. But if push came to shove and I had to protect someone I could but I would hopefully do it so that everyone could come out alive. I am not a buddhist monk, yet I am a Pagan and in my peace is a beautiful world with no fear and nature at its very best. People have asked me why are you a Pagan? I tell them "It felt like going home and everyday I do something reaffirms my place in this world as a natural part of it."
I feel if everyone had this one experience with an open mind their lives would change. All they need is their eyes and ears. You drive out into the middle of Montana and you find a creek deep in the wilderness and you kneel down next to that creek. At first glance the beauty is amazing and to think that every natural thing in front of you has been there for 1000's of years. You close your eyes and the creek whispers to you of past generations and the energy coming off that creek just grabs a hold of you. You open your eyes and the sun glare is bright but nonetheless beautiful. The trees rising up and bending over the creek shows its place in this world and the energy off that creek is powerful and it is continuous much like the world we live in.
Remember all bad things do not happen because of you. Your not a curse. You were the beautiful baby your parents had when they were younger and your a child of this planet. One good example of why racism exists? People want to move forward. people want control, some people have hatred in their hearts, some people fear their own skin color, attitudes clash and its all because of money and hatred and fear. Without that fear aspect you can take the other two and nullify them because they would not exist. People don't hate to hate. People hate because they are afraid of what they will lose. Racism is a touchy subject but in my world no subject is to touchy because I have seen the worst in people and I have seen the best. I have had very special people taken from me and I have given the world a beautiful little girl. So any subject from suicide, murder, PTSD, political, etc. I do not fear any of it because I am at peace with the person I am for the most part. Sure I could have a buck in the bank or a little more love or a home we didnt have to worry about losing but all that comes 2nd to loving my daughter and wife.
If you fear of dying and ask yourself truthfully then come to terms with that fact that it is going to happen. There is nothing at all we can do about it.
If you fear because your black and some people don't like you then come to terms with it. There is nothing at all that anyone can do about it.
We can change ourselves but we cannot change the attitudes of others and no law, debate or kindness can change that until that person wants to change it.
Love those close to you and embrace their love. Love the little ones and teach them to love one another without fear. Because once the fear is extinguished. It only goes up from there.
