This iReport is part of an assignment:
Everyday racism: Your stories
I have acceptance is cyclical (sp). As a baby until around 10 or so racism just isn't part of your every day life. Around the age of middle school until about 60 we are down for the cause and will fight for "the right" no matter the cost. But then something amazing happens after 60. All of the causes we thought were so important a few years ago mean absolutely nothing. The other day I drove down the street and saw an elderly white woman and an elderly black man talking at the bus stop with smiles on their face. I believe they finally got the true meaning what it means not to judge someone by the color of their skin.
