WE NEED YOUR VOICE! Employees Want Good Work Environment
Make employees feel that they are doing the "hobbies" they love, not just the "jobs" they are bored of.
Nowadays, the business environment has become more and more competitive. Many companies aim to increase effectiveness and efficiency by forcing employees to work as hard as possible. I disagree with this. I believe that in order to increase effectiveness and efficiency in employees, companies should encourage appropriate “Play at Work” environment because of the following reasons.
First, employees are considered “internal customers” for a company. They are the people who add value on every single process from manufacturing to aftersales service. If internal customers are happy, they can add “happiness” and “value” for external customers. How can they effectively add “happiness” on the product when they themselves are not happy? How can they effectively make customers loyal to the company when they themselves are not satisfied with it? This is the reason why companies need to create satisfying work environment for employees.
Next, in highly competitive environment, companies need innovation and creativity in order to become market leaders. A company itself cannot be creative, but the employees can! "Play at work" environment helps reduce employee's stress and boost their creativity.
Finally, nowadays’ business environment is rapid-changing. Employees need to be active! “Play at Work” environment is good for this. An exciting office can make employees more active, and therefore, become even more adaptive and productive.
In conclusion, I believe that “Play at Work” environment is very important in nowadays’ business environment. It can boost happiness, innovation, creativity, and activity in employees, making the companies even more effective and efficient.
