This iReport is part of an assignment:
A "The Day After Tomorrow" scenery...but this is real!
Hailstorms, tornadoes, lightning storms: it's a really unusual summer for Italy as we never seen these phenomenons happening all together in a month, in Italy!
A lots of hurricanes have devastated several beach properties in Lignano Sabbiadoro (UD), Caorle (VE) and San Severo in Rome. Plus, several tornadoes have hit the Sicilian island: cities bewteen Agira and Catenanuova, Siracusa and Catania, Favara and Misterbianco.
Also, lots of earthquakes are hitting Italy, from the north to the south of the Italian peninsula. The last one was on August 24th at 4 p.m.(GMT), 4.0 Richter Scale, epicenter in Cimolais, which is located between the Veneto and Friuli regions.
Other earthquakes are being registered in the following regions: Lazio, Sicily, Emilia Romagna, Marche, Liguria, Toscana, Abbruzzo.
Now...should we also expect the awakening of the sleeping volcano in Castelgandolfo (Rome) since that lake it's becoming a puddle, or should we expect a surprise from the Vesuvio one (located in Naples)?
