Wild Fire Seasons
The Photos show the beginnings of each fire, and the gloom that some citizens felt as the smoke towered above the city, and threatened their lives. As the fires grew, so did the rescue efforts, as a barrage of planes flew a near constant vigil. Scouting for their aerial assault, and for placement of ground crews, and dumping huge loads of fire retardant slurry.
Finally the weather changed bringing the humidity levels back up, the wind softened, and the amazing Firefighting crews got control of the fires. Unfortunately, there were many houses lost, and many more lives affected by these tragedies.
June will come back again next year, let us hope that the fires do not.
